2011 Fall New York Fashion Wee Bacjstage Beauty Report: Jenni Kayne

It was like Fendi and Jill Sander Spring 2011 all over again backstage at Jenni Kayne this NYFW, with hot pink lips catching our attention. The punchy fuchsia pout was being applied with MAC's 224 Tapered Blending Brush ($54) and looked to have a powdery finish, instead a being creamy and rich, so we're suspecting that a pigment was placed over the lip colour to really lock it in and given the colour maximum voltage on the runway. Again the rest of the makeup palette was simple, leading lipstick lovers to rejoice that bold lips are still the go for A/W. Hair was parted in the centre and worn poker straight and super flat against the head. Nails were painted with a golden caramel semi-pearlescent polish. What do you think of it?
