2011 RAFW Backstage Beauty Report: Christopher Esber

The beach inspired Christopher Esber's S/S 11/12 hair and makeup, with lead hairstylist Frank Apostolopoulos from Biba creating a dual-textured ponytail that sat "quite high, just below the crown." Frank kept the ponytail dry, but the surface of the ponytail was "slick, beachy and a bit dishevelled." He used water, MoroccanOil Hydrating Styling Cream and Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray to achieve the affect. Likewise the Napoleon Perdis makeup team wanted models to look as though the were emerging from the water so the key was prepping skin by really massaging serum into the skin to give that healthy, radiant glow. Then silver highlighter from the Luminzer Patrol Palette and one of Napoleon's new Crème de la Crème eyeshadows, which will launch later in the year, were applied.
