Backstage at Marni, makeup artist Tom Pecheux said: "There are two styles of makeup: one that women can relate to and try to emulate and the other that makes people think, and dream." To me, this look combines both. The lip, which was created using a MAC Pro product, can easily be recreated using MAC Morange Lipstick ($35) — one of my faves. Naturally. The graphic black and white eye though, well that falls firmly in the "think and dream" category. Pechaux swathed the entire lid in white shadow, before painting a thin "banana" shape above the natural crease of the eye using MAC Carbon shadow ($32). Interesting definitely. But not a look your boss would appreciate. I love the windswept hair that Paul Hanlon created using Frédéric Fekkai Coiff Océanique - Tousled Wave Spray ($46). The idea was for the models to look as though they'd been in an open-top car, wearing these rather fetching caps. You like?
