If you're looking for another use for your favourite orange lipstick, step right this way. "We like to twist the rules," Tom Pecheux, Estée Lauder Creative Director, said of the makeup look at Derek Lam. "Derek for the clothes, me for the makeup." He wasn't kidding: Instead of sporting traditional eye shadow, models wore orange lipstick on their lids. And instead of eyeliner, they had Estée Lauder Double Wear lip pencil in Coral. "It's a graphic eye," Pecheux explained. "We're creating a strong architecture with the liner and a white triangle on the eyes." Cheeks got a gentle, sheer boost of warmth with bronzer and Sweet Nectar blush and two yet-to-be-named lipsticks, launching in the US in March, were used to finish the look. The hair was simple: a little volume, but most of all it was meant to look natural, not overly styled. LOVE.
