Backstage Beauty Report At Maticevski 2012 MBFWA Spring Summer

Wow brows were the statement feature backstage at Toni Maticevski's RTW show. Kate Squires (Napoleon Perdis) was using the brand's Fashion Week staple, Equinox China Doll Gel Eyeliner, to create the "star of the makeup look". Keen to keep the texture raw, an angled liner brush was used vertically instead of horizontally to keep the brow from looking like a block of colour. Five girls will be taking the look one step further, wearing eyeliner that joins the brow to really draw home the Modern Nefertiti reference. Jayne Wilde (ghd) was calling her hair creations 'little volcanoes" backstage. In reality the style required seven sections fused up into a concial shape. "It's about clashing textures," she said. "Keeping it clean at the sides and back, and fluffier at the front." She worked with ghd Final Fix Hairspray sprayed onto a hairbrush and Smooth and Finish serum "around the edges" to keep the hair clean. For the volume, she used ghd Total Volume Foam.
