Cut-Out Faceoff: Who Wore the Sexy Trend Best?

In the past, punk felt a bit more synonymous with grunge than sex bomb, but last night's Met Gala was ready and willing to change that notion.

In the past, punk felt a bit more synonymous with grunge than sex bomb, but last night's Met Gala was ready and willing to change that notion. A slew of starlets stepped out in cut-out gowns that flashed patches of skin for a sultry sizzle. Carey Mulligan toyed with the idea in a Balenciaga gown that revealed her waist, while Jessica Alba picked a sparkling Tory Burch number that put the attention front and centre, courtesy of open patches above and below the bust. Miranda Kerr showed off most of her top half with a Michael Kors T-bar column dress, and Emma Watson felt the punkiest of all in a Prabal Gurung pick that looked slashed at both the shoulder and waist. So, when all's said and done, which sexy cut-out look was your favourite of the night?

Kristen Stewart Confirmed For Another Gig — Get the Details

Kristen Stewart has been confirmed to star in her second Balenciaga campaign.

Kristen Stewart has been confirmed to star in her second Balenciaga campaign. She is currently the face of the label's Florabotanica fragrance and has already shot a set of new ads for the perfume campaign, which will be released in the Fall. Fashion insiders had wondered if Kristen would sever her ties with the label after her friend and former Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquière left the label and was replaced by Alexander Wang, who famously had Liberty Ross walk the runway during his label's Spring/Summer '13 presentation following Kristen's cheating scandal with Rupert Sanders.

The news of Kristen's Balenciaga campaign comes a couple of days after she was named the best dressed woman of 2013 by Glamour UK, beating out Kate Middleton and Jennifer Lawrence for the honour. Kristen is also gearing up for the 2013 Met Gala in NYC on Monday, but it still isn't clear which designer she will wear. As of now, Julianne Moore will reportedly wear a custom Balenciaga look by Alexander Wang, but that doesn't mean that Kristen won't also wear the label to the fashionable bash.

It's been confirmed that Twilight star Kristen Stewart will star in her second campaign for Balenciaga's Florabotanica fragrance, Vogue UK reports. The actress, who is already the face of the iconic brand's playful scent, has reportedly already shot the second campaign. It's slated to be released this Spring.

There had been rumours that Kristen had severed ties with the French design house since Alexander Wang took over as creative director. She has not been dressed by Wang since he's stepped into the role, and Kristen recently spoke out in support of former Balenciaga creative director Nicolas Ghesquière. No further details have been announced about the forthcoming campaign.

Nicolas Ghesquière on Why Balenciaga "Just Wasn't Fulfilling Anymore"

Nicolas Ghesquière's departure from Balenciaga was one of the biggest fashion stories of 2012.

Nicolas Ghesquière's departure from Balenciaga was one of the biggest fashion stories of 2012. After keeping mum on the topic for several months, the designer has opened up to System Magazine — a new glossy whose first issue was guest-edited by his friend, stylist Marie-Amélie-Sauvé — about what made him leave. In an excerpt of the interview published by The Business of Fashion, Ghesquière told journalist Jonathan Wingfield that clashing with the business side on what kind of products to make and where to sell them contributed to his unhappiness there. "They wanted to open up a load of stores but in really mediocre spaces, where people weren't aware of the brand. It was a strategy that I just couldn't relate to," he said in the interview. "It was just so frustrating. Everything was like that." More on why Ghesquière left the brand, here.

Top Ten Best Dressed of the Week: Kate, Carey, Poppy & More!

You can tell just by looking at the picture that this week's fashion picks were a veritable homage to the looming festive season.

You can tell just by looking at the picture that this week's fashion picks were a veritable homage to the looming festive season. There were sparkles and metallics, thick brocade, bright red gowns, neon pink dresses and so much more to feast your eyes on. Poppy Delevingne opted for a gorgeous sass & bide number that we've fallen in love with, not least of all because of the mix of silver and green, while Katie Holmes broke outside of her comfort zone with an amazing Narciso Rodriguez number. Miss Universe Australia Renae Ayris disproved stereotypical theory when she wore a gorgeous gown in the Miss Universe pageant (created by a Project Runway runner-up!) and Kate Ritchie wowed in beautiful bright red. An Epic Style Battle of Katie vs. Katie — Which Outfit Wins?

Here's one thing we learned about Katie Holmes's Late Show With David Letterman appearance (without even watching her interview): she certainly knows how to make an entrance and an exit.

Here's one thing we learned about Katie Holmes's Late Show With David Letterman appearance (without even watching her interview): she certainly knows how to make an entrance and an exit. Now, the hardest part is determining which take on outerwear proportions, pops of colour, and gorgeous footwear we prefer most. First, the brunette beauty headed into the Ed Sullivan Theater in an unexpectedly cool olive green, pink, and nude combo, via her sexy Narciso Rodriguez LPD, military-inspired Balenciaga coat, and Isabel Marant pumps. The hues complemented each other perfectly. Post-interview, Katie slipped into something more casual, but altogether chic and covet-worthy. Her navy blue peacoat and red ankle-cut trousers provided the cool Americana vibe, but it was her embellished boots that caught our attention, and ultimately, made the ensemble stand out. We'd say this is an epic battle of Katie vs. Katie, and we're curious to know which version of the starlet you love best?
