A DIY Recipe That Will Give You Sexy Beach Waves in Minutes
Achieving those highly covetable beach waves doesn't mean you have to head to the ocean. It doesn't mean you have to break out the curling iron or store-bought texturising spray, either. Fabrice Gili, creative director of Frédéric Fekkai SoHo, divulged his quick and easy recipe for carefree waves that requires only three ingredients (all of which you probably have sitting around at home).
- Step 1: Take an empty and clean spray bottle and fill it up with 230g of water.
- Step 2: Add two heaping tablespoons of kosher or sea salt to the water and shake.
- Step 3: Mix a teaspoon of your favourite hair gel to the saltwater solution and shake it once again. This will give hair a little bit more texture.
- Step 4: Spray a generous amount onto wet or very damp hair and do not brush through; finger-comb only, if necessary. Scrunch hair in your hands to help curls form, or just leave it be and let it air dry naturally.

Get Rachel McAdams's Chic Top Knot With Tips Straight From Her Stylist

You know that effortless top knot you love to wear to the supermarket or the gym? Yesterday, Rachel McAdams proved that you can play up that casual look for any occasion — even the red carpet. "I love a top knot, and I'm so happy this trend is sticking around; they're young, cool, and super-modern," said celebrity stylist Mark Townsend, who created the style. To get this look at home, start by spritzing your roots with Klorane Dry Shampoo ($12.99) for added texture. Pull your hair into a ponytail just in front of the crown and use Redken Wax Blast Spray ($24.95) on the length of the pony. Next, twist hair around the base of the elastic, tucking in ends and securing with bobby pins. Townsend recommends crisscrossing the pins to secure and spraying them with dry shampoo. The starch in the product takes away the shine, making them less noticeable and also giving them a tighter grip. After pulling out a few flyaways and adding a satin ribbon, Rachel was set for an evening out. You'll never underestimate the glamour of a top knot again.
