Blonde Haired Women Earn More and Marry Better

New research published in Economics Letters has just given everyone fuel to embrace the peroxide: blondes earn seven percent more than any other hair colour. They also marry wealthier men. What gives? While there doesn't seem to be any explanation for the salary difference, Dr David Johnston, who led the study of 13,000 women, says of the marrying well: "Blonde women are often depicted as being more attractive than other women, but also less intelligent. But it seems the association between blondes and beauty dominates any perception that they have low intelligence." Hmmm. Thoughts, anyone?
