I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of Bryce Dallas Howard in the future since she's been cast in the next Twilight film.
I loved her look at last week's NYC premiere of The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond; the contrast between the shiny, stick-straight blunt bangs and the tousled, wavy texture of the rest of her strands works really well.
It's a great style for the silly season as it's really easy to do:
Apply a medium-hold gel such as L’Oréal Professionnel Texture Expert Gelee Cashmere ($39) to damp locks to provide shine and staying-power. Blow-dry the hair, scrunching with your fingers to create a tousled look. For the fringe, use a paddle brush to encourage the hair to lie straight, following the brush right behind with your dryer with each stroke. Direct the flow of the dryer downward toward your face.
Once the hair is dry, use a medium-barrelled curling iron to create wave. For a not-too-perfect effect, curl every other strand of hair. When finished, break up the curl with your fingers and run a texturising cream through the wave for a slightly matte effect. I like Aveda Light Elements Defining Whip ($49.95).
Stockists: Aveda (1300 300 054), L’Oréal Professionnel (1300 651 141).
Jessica Simpson HairDo Bang.... what a great name.
1Eh.... while it's an ok look for her, I miss her Irish-red locks...
2I think this color is seriously gorgeous. Love the red tones in it.
3Maybe I should try those. I got the most hideous side bangs last week and can't decide whether to double down and go for the real bangs or just wear my hair pinned back till they grow out.
4I love her... she's so pretty.
5I've loved her since I saw her in The Village...so glad she is joining the Eclipse cast!!
I think she looks lovely here with the dark hair, but honestly, I think her red is even more gorgeous. I hope she goes back to the red soon!
6I love, love this color. I wish I had my hair like this. She's so pretty
