Special occasion days on social media have become an opportunity to whip out blast from the past photos, which is exactly what celebrities did to celebrate Mother’s Day! Aussie beauties including Rachael Finch, Jesinta Campbell and Ricki-Lee Coulter went back into their photo albums to express their gratitude for their mums. If people weren’t bringing back shots from the archives they were at least posting pictures of their usually-camera-shy mums — even Lara Bingle tweeted, “Can't wait to see what everyone's moms look like on Instagram!” And of course the celebrities who have already experienced motherhood, like models Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosio, sent their love to fellow mothers around the world. Channing Tatum turns 33 today, and we can't think of a better way to celebrate than with plenty of onscreen eye candy. Last year he made fans swoon with his sexy strip routines in Magic Mike, but Channing's dance moves first won hearts back in 2006 with Step Up — including the heart of his co-star-turned-wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum. Since then, the heartthrob has shown that he can look hot no matter what he's wearing, whether it's a uniform, a swimsuit, or little more than a tie. In honour of his birthday, take a look at Channing Tatum's sexiest movie moments!
Channing Tatum donned an all white suit to hit the dance floor with co-stars Jamie Foxx and Maggie Gyllenhaal at a party to celebrate their film, White House Down, in Cancun last night. Channing, who was sporting scruffy new facial hair, showed off his dance moves alongside Jamie and also paired off for a dance with Maggie. Jamie, who plays President James Sawyer in the action flick, posed with Channing in front of a mock Presidential portrait for the promotional fun ahead of the film's September 5 release.
Channing has a lot going on at the moment. He has been spending a bulk of his time in London with his pregnant wife, Jenna Dewan, while on location to shoot for Jupiter Ascending. Although he has been keeping up a busy schedule, the expectant pair snuck in a recent double-date with another A-list couple. Channing and Jenna paired up with his Jupiter Ascending co-star Mila Kunis and her boyfriend Ashton Kutcher for a date night at the London Opera last weekend.
There were a few things weighing on the minds of celebrities this week — possibly not all of equal importance, though. Top of the list was marriage equality, with a couple of celebs writing about matters that are close to their hearts — and what has France done to get a mention from Ellen DeGeneres? Also on people's minds: Coachella, the annual music festival that kicked off in California this weekend — Jaime King, Joel Madden and David Spade all had something to say. . . and it's not all positive. Lucy Hale has found her dream man, Channing Tatum told us he loved us (kinda) and Rebel Wilson? We'll she's Rebbel Wilson — she's just funny by default. Channing Tatum stepped onto the red carpet at the Academy Awards today looking dapper alongside his pregnant wife Jenna Dewan. This is Channing's first time attending the awards, and he will take the stage as one of the celebrities presenting at the Oscars. Although Channing is not nominated for an Oscar tonight, he's had plenty of achievements in the last year worth celebrating. Channing landed the Sexiest Man Alive title, took on several roles that showcased his humour, dance moves, and dramatic acting chops, and topped it off with announcing he and Jenna are expecting their first baby, saying, "This is my greatest production yet."
There were many stars who attended the Super Bowl and its pre-game festivities in New Orleans this past weekend — and they were happy to share their social snaps with the world. Beyoncé Knowles celebrated her successful Super Bowl half-time show with Jay-Z backstage while Alicia Keys got cosy with Swizz Beatz on the field after singing the national anthem before the game. Meanwhile, Channing Tatum took part in the NFL Honor Awards and Ian Somerhalder played a celebrity football game with Nina Dobrev. Channing Tatum stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on Friday to promote his latest film, Side Effects. The two men reminisced the famously funny "Ew!" skit Jimmy and Channing put on last Winter, and Channing admitted his Side Effects co-stars weren't quick to let him forget it. Jimmy flashed a photo of the two of them wearing their feminine getups, while Channing brought some photos of his own, including a childhood photo of him dressed as a cowboy.
Channing also touched on rumors of a Magic Mike sequel and requested that director Steven Soderbergh return for the gig. Nothing has been confirmed on whether Channing will reprise his stripper role yet, but he celebrated his current collaboration with Steven yesterday at the NYC Side Effects premiere. Channing is also gearing up for his role as a dad, since his wife, Jenna Dewan, is pregnant with their first child.
Super Bowl 2013 has already attracted plenty of stars to New Orleans and even if they couldn't get there, they're taking part in festivities around the country. Sofia Vergara and Jeremy Renner linked up at the Rolling Stone party held at the Bud Light Hotel yesterday, while today, Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Josh Hutcherson and more got competitive during a celebrity beach bowl challenge. Though the game is a bigger deal in America, it's always fun to see the stars stepping out for a bit of fun. Click through to see the latest pics as the stars party towards the 2013 Super Bowl!
