In honour of this week's focus on all things denim, we're looking to some of our most all-timing inspiring denim icons. Along with the LBD, a pair of well-fitting jeans is a wardrobe essential. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner showed love on Sunday afternoon at the John Varvatos 10th annual Stuart House Benefit. Ben and Jen were the day's co-chairs, and they arrived together, posing for pictures separately and side by side, before heading into the event and taking the stage to help raise funds for Stuart House, a rape treatment centre. Ben welcomed the time with his wife, telling reporters that he's been relaxing with his family since winning best picture for Argo. He said, "I've been able to really just enjoy my good fortune in the last couple of weeks and sit back and kind of just take it in and not do anything, just eat ice cream on the couch. It's been a really nice time to hang out with my wife and that sort of thing, so we're just enjoying it."

They were among the many celebrity couples who turned out for the bash. Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber looked right at home in the California sunshine, as did Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. Joe Manganiello made the rounds with girlfriend Bridget Peters, though Nina Dobrev was without her boyfriend and Vampire Diaries co-star Ian Somerhalder.

This week in the Twitterverse we had multiple celebrities weighing in on various hot topics. From clearing up pesky rumours (Vogue Williams) and sending out congratulations (Joel Madden) to sharing the love (Nicki Minaj) and appreciating everything you've been given (Harry Styles from One Direction), stars were forthcoming with their feelings, and we lapped it up. Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder were together in LA for Sunday's John Varvatos Stuart House benefit, which raises funds for the rape treatment centre at Santa Monica-UCLA hospital. Dave Matthews performed, and Leslie Mann co-hosted a silent auction with husband Judd Apatow. The annual event also brought out Hollywood couples like a loved-up Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, as well as Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman. Rachel and Rodger made the rounds with their almost 1-year-old son Skyler, who celebrates his first birthday on March 22. Zoe Saldana also turned out during a break from shooting Star Trek, as did Harry Potter's Tom Felton with girlfriend Jade Olivia, and True Blood hottie Joe Manganiello.

Nina and Ian are in California during a break from working on The Vampire Diaries in Atlanta. The Vampire Diaries cast was at Paley Fast on Saturday, but Ian's highlight on Sunday was meeting Alice Cooper. He tweeted about the magnitude of meeting his former idol, writing, "What a weekend . . . I use to air guitar that dude when I was a youngster." Nina, meanwhile, had another connection to Rachel Zoe. At the Paley panel, Nina donned a black dress from the Rachel Zoe Collection.

What an afternoon treat! Fashion Week regulars put on their best glad-rags for the 2012 amfAR gala in New York City today. Apart from the model pack (Anja, Erin, Eniko, Joan, Jessica, Liya and Karolina were all present and accounted for), and designers Roberto Cavalli and Rachel Roy joined Alexa Chung, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rose Byrne and Leighton Meester. Add in some unexpected attendees by way of Lindsay Lohan and Shane Warne, and you've got one eclectic guest list! The 2012 amfAR gala was held in New York today to mark the start of New York Fashion Week, with a mix of Hollywood stars, fashion designers and models turning out for the event today. Shane Warne and Elizabeth Hurley sat at the same table as Julianne Moore, Cindy Crawford, Jennifer Hudson and Roberto Cavalli, who was honoured for his work with AIDs — in fact, lots of the ladies were dressed in his designs. Heidi Klum made her post-split return to the red carpet, and appeared to still be wearing her wedding ring from Seal. Rose Byrne and Jessica Hart joined Shane Warne in forming the Aussie contingent, while other stars included Sarah Jessica Parker, Lindsay Lohan and Nicky Hilton.
