It was a covert mission James Bond himself would be proud of — Daniel Craig, a man who is constantly followed by cameras documenting his every move — snuck into Sydney yesterday with minimal attention, to attend last night's British Lions and Wallabies decider at ANZ Stadium. Joined by a crowd of over 83,000, the 007 star took his seat up in the stands as he watched his countrymen defeat ours 41-16. After the game, Craig hit the field — well-dressed in a suit and his team's colours — and spent time congratulating the winners. He then accompanied them to their change rooms with a bottle of champagne in hand, in true James Bond style. Click through to see the pictures of Craig at the game!
Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz ran into a small snowstorm during a trip to the gym in NYC on Monday. The couple protected themselves from the elements in warm jackets and snow boots. The weather was much different from the last time we saw Daniel and Rachel earlier this month, when they walked the red carpet together at the Golden Globes in sunny LA. Daniel attended the event to show support for Rachel, who was nominated for best actress, and Adele, who was up for best original song for the titular number from Skyfall. Although Rachel got bested by Jessica Chastain that night, Adele won for "Skyfall," marking her first Globes win. Daniel and Rachel will have a busy few months ahead of them with the release of Rachel's Oz: The Great and Powerful coming up in March.
Scarlett Johansson had a big night in NYC yesterday when she hit the red carpet to celebrate the opening of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Richard Rodgers Theater. She wore a black Dolce & Gabbana outfit after taking the stage in character for her second-ever Broadway run, following her 2010 appearance in A View From the Bridge. Scarlett's turn as Maggie is getting great reviews and she had plenty of support in the audience with White Collar's Matt Bomer, Nick Jonas, as well as Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz all stepping out for the performance. Daniel and Rachel are back on the East Coast after they made a glamorous stop at the Golden Globes on Monday.
Award season kicked off this month, and there have already been so many memorable moments. Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom made a glamorous entrance at a Golden Globes after-party while Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain showed off their statues. Sandra Bullock hung out with her The Blind Side co-star Quinton Aaron at the People's Choice Awards and Matthew McConaughey shared a Critics' Choice table with Christian Bale. There's been so much more award season action — click through to see all the cutest snaps so far!
Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig arrived together at the Golden Globes in LA today. The couple looked glamorous, with Rachel in a black Louis Vuitton gown and Daniel in a sleek tuxedo. Rachel is up for best actress for her role in The Deep Blue Sea and had Daniel by her side for support. He made the awards season rounds this weekend and attended Sean Penn's Help Haiti event last night, though Rachel wasn't photographed with him. They're just one of the many stunning couples at the Golden Globes, and the duos just keep arriving.
With so many gorgeous red carpet gowns, be sure to vote on your favourites in our Fab and Bella Golden Globe polls.
Stars gathered to show their support at the second annual Sean Penn and Friends Help Haiti Home Gala at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills Saturday night. Reese Witherspoon sat in the audience with husband Jim Toth and bid during the auction, while Julia Roberts mingled with pals like Tim Robbins in the crowd. Daniel Craig, who was absent when he won best actor in an action movie for Skyfall at last week's Critics' Choice Awards, met up with Jon Bon Jovi, and Melissa McCarthy and husband Ben Falcone attended the event, which featured a performance by Citizen Cope. Eva Longoria was fresh off of filming a Lays commercial when she stepped out for the good cause, alongside Kristin Davis, Emma Roberts, Eric Dane, Leonardo DiCaprio Bradley Cooper and others.
Emily Blunt wore a sexy Emilio Pucci cut-out gown that helped show off her fresh-from-Mexico tan alongside husband John Krasinski at the National Board of Review Awards in NYC today. Anne Hathaway picked a black suit for the occasion while Jessica Chastain's dark look had a gold embellished neckline. Ben Affleck also stepped out to support Argo at the first of a number of awards season events this week. Also joining the esteemed crowd was a guest list that included Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Angela Basset, Bradley Cooper and more.
Next up the crew will start heading toward the west coast for tomorrow's People's Choice Awards, Friday's Critics Choice Awards and Monday's Golden Globes. The Oscar nominations also come out on Friday morning.
Jessica Chastain, Matthew McConaughey, Rachel Weisz and many more stars celebrated their fellow actors and filmmakers at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards in New York City yesterday. Matthew, who wore a suit by Dolce & Gabbana, won best supporting actor for his performances in Magic Mike and Bernie while Rachel beat out Jessica — who did triple-duty that night by appearing on the Late Show and attending a screening for Mama in addition to this event — for best actress for her role in The Deep Blue Sea. Rachel's husband Daniel Craig cheered Rachel on from the audience when she won her award.
Jessica's film Zero Dark Thirty was the big winner of the night, earning best director for Kathryn Bigelow and best cinematography for Greg Fraser. Highly-buzzed-about films Les Misérables and Argo missed out altogether. However, those films and their stars will have plenty of chances to scoop up more honours once awards season starts up in earnest this week with the People's Choice Awards on Thursday, the Critic's Choice Awards on Friday and the Golden Globes on Monday.
How do you sum up a year of Sugar? Celebrities. Colour. Friends. Entertainment. Fashion. Beauty. Laughter. Food — so much food. 2012 has been such a great year, we'll be sorry to see the back of it. . . but so excited to do it all over again in 2013! This year, we bid adieu to a much-loved staff member, and welcome two newbies who are loving every minute. We met mega stars like Nicole Richie, Miranda Kerr, Daniel Craig, Kate Bosworth, Kristen Stewart and many more. We saw endless amounts of brand spankin' new fashion collections and trends, we tried and tested new beauty products, and we were lucky enough to be on the receiving end of some epic gifts. In between all that, we ate our building's weight in chocolate, macarons and cake pops, indulged in a few champagnes, and above all, had the best time doing it all together. We've captured it all here in pics — just click through to see all that went down this year at Sugar!
