Diptyque has been creating eaux de toilette, cologne and home fragrances for over 50 years, and to mark the occasion, it's released a line close to the brand's heart — 34 Boulevard St Germain, which fans will of course recognise as the address of the Parisian Diptyque boutique. Featuring a candle, two EDT sizes and a room spray; for the first time in the Australian market, it's joined by a scented oval which is designed to fragrance drawers. The scent itself opens with top notes of blackcurrant, green leaves, rose pepper, citrus notes and spices such as clove, cinnamon and cardamom. At the heart lies rose, Egyptian geranium, tuberose and violet, whilst the base consists of woods, balms and resins alongside eucalyptus. Stylistically, it's an exquisite range, down to the oval shape of the candle, the seal-like lid of the perfume and the patterned fabric sleeves which house the products — the pattern is in fact one of the brand's most famous original designs, which was created by Christiane Gautrot and Desmond Know-Leet, two of the founders of the brand. What do you think of the latest additions?
