Do You Wear More Than One Nail Polish at a Time?

Celebs like RiRi, Beyoncé, Dita Von Teese and Katy Perry are known for wearing various shades of polish at the one time to create nail art, intricate three-dimensional effects or a unique take on the French mani. It's clear that the more-than-one-polish trend is having a moment right now, but what about you? Do you bust out multiple shades or do you keep it sweet and simple and stick with just one?

Allytta, that's cool! I have painted my nails to match movies I was watching, as well :) I usually put way too much time into that. I usually don't mix colors though, unless it's Halloween or I'm going to a gay pride parade or, like I said, the movies.

I have been known to paint each nail a different color every now and then, but not all that often. I'm a purist, I like short nails that are painted. I really don't like nail art, I know it's hot right now, but it just doesn't work for me.

So fun to see everyone having such a great time with nail polish! However, as a retired nail tech and salon owner from Naples, FL. did you have any idea that so many nail polishes contain an ingredient called phaleates, that ingredient can cause breast cancer. Well I'm here to share with you that after 25 years of doing nails, I was diagnosied with breast cancer in 08'. Allytta, I love the Avatar nails! I don't usually do designs. I don't even remember the last time I did. When I was in middle school, I used to love swirling two or three colors around on my nail with the pointed end of an orange stick... it looked like marble.

For me, not really. But then again I am cheap and I will be darned if I am going to pay my nail tech 5 bucks per nail for design. I might as well break down and get a Konad. *lol* Funny that you would post this article because I noticed girl with some colorful nails and they were pretty long, about an inch and a half long. Not my style since I have long fingers anyways and I prefer short nails.
