With the 65th Cannes Film Festival wrapping up last weekend, we thought we would take a final look at some of the beauty moments of the L'Oréal Paris dream team. Proud sponsors of the festival and the film industry, the L'Oréal Paris spokesmodels are some of the most distinguished, talented and beautiful women in the world — from Jane Fonda, Freida Pinto, to the youngest, Barbara Palvin, and our very own Aussie beauty, Megan Gale. These women represent the energy, strength and confidence that reflect the essence of L'Oréal Paris. So come join us, and celebrate the end of Cannes with one final hurrah to these beautiful ladies!
The 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival wrapped up on the weekend, so it's now time to have a look back at all of the beauty glamour that graced the red carpet. Things kicked off to an amazing start with stars including French beauty Audrey Tatou, Emma Watson and Carey Mulligan hitting the red carpet, but there was a few memorable stand-outs like, Cara Delevingne and Bianca Balti to Megan Gale, her fellow L'Oréal Paris ambassador Barbara Palvin that since stole the show with their bold makeup looks — tangerine eyeshadow, glossy lips, winged eyes — and perfectly styled hair. There's over 100 looks in here, so get ready, go!
What's black and white and red all over? At the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, those seemed to be the colours of choice for the models walking down the red carpet. Newcomer Barbara Palvin wore an unexpected but chic black tuxedo by Alexandre Vauthier to the premiere of Cleopatra, and Heidi Klum wore a white, studded Versace gown to the premiere of Nebraska. Inès de la Fressange, at left, wowed photographers in a strapless red dress on her way to a screening of Jeune & Jolie. But Milla Jovovich was spotted in all three colours when she chose a Spring 2013 Chanel Couture gown for the Blood Ties premiere. But there were a few gorgeous girls who broke that trend: Joan Smalls saw Cleopatra in a stunning pale pink Pucci, and Liu Wen wore a deep purple Roberto Cavalli gown to see All Is Lost. A look at what the rest of the runway set wore on the red carpet at Cannes, here in the gallery.
Begone, Monday! Doutzen Kroes' latest turn as the face of H&M's High Summer campaign makes us want to be gallivanting on some far-off shore. Sure, Beyoncé may have heated things up in the brand's Summer kick-off campaign, but this Terry Richardson-shot spread is all sunshine, perfectly touslled beach hair, and of course, beach-bound essentials — with Tulum, Mexico, as the backdrop. Inside, Kroes shows off a cool mix of easy cover-ups, belted and accented with statement jewelry, and truth be told, there's really not much more you need than that. A look at the H&M High Summer campaign, as well as our favourite picks from the collection, here.
Jennifer Lawrence dressed up in a Dior gown to hit the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival for the Jimmy P.: Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian premiere last night. She was joined by her Catching Fire crew: Liam Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, and director Francis Lawrence. Also in attendance to show their support for Jimmy P., which stars Benicio del Toro, were Calvin Klein-clad Doutzen Kroes; Eva Longoria, who wore Atelier Versace; and Jane Fonda. Steven Spielberg, who is serving as one of the jurors at this year's festival, was joined by wife Kate Capshaw for the glamorous event at the Palais des Festivals.
It was quite the day for Jennifer and her men, who were busy promoting their own film in Cannes in the morning. Jennifer, Liam and Sam posed for a Catching Fire photo call after Liam hit the town on Saturday night for the Belvedere bash.
Australian model Megan Gale is no stranger to the Cannes Film Festival, but this year might be her most glamorous appearance yet! Wearing a custom-made dress created by her friend and go-to designer, Alex Perry, Megan joined four of her fellow L'Oreal Paris spokeswomen — the cosmetics giant has been the festival's official makeup artist since 1997 — on the red carpet at the premiere of Benicio Del Toro's new film, Jimmy P. Megan posed in the rain with stars Cheryl Cole, Eva Longoria, Doutzen Kroes and Jane Fonda, afterwards tweeting to them, "Lovely to meet you tonight . . . Much love to you all". Doutzen Kroes spent most of her weekend in a bikini during her stay in Miami. The Victoria’s Secret model flaunted her fit physique in different printed bikinis while spending time at the pool and beach with her two favourite boys, husband Sunnery James and son Phyllon Gorré — the young family made the most of their holiday settings when Sunnery, a DJ, played at Miami's Ultra Music Festival. Doutzen also caught up with her fellow VS Angel Candice Swanepoel on Saturday on the beach.
When the week includes fashion shows and numerous premieres, you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be some pretty amazing beauty looks to be seen. That theory rang true this week, thanks to gorgeous celebs like Elizabeth Olsen, Jaime King and Allison Williams, who all made appearances as Fashion Week events sporting a statement lip and hair too glorious for words. In Australia, Miranda Kerr was a showstopper (nothing unusual there) with her hair swept to the side and skin glowing. And did you see Karlie Kloss rockin' that hair of hers? It's all in here — and more! — so click through for a walk down pretty lane.
