Defined, fuller eyebrows continued to dominate recently at fashion week, securing their place as the beauty trend of the moment. But it seems not everyone is blessed with the thick brow like Cara Delevingne. If genetics aren't on your side or you went to town in your high school years with the tweezers and wax, you might just be in luck! Eyelash and brow growth serums — consisting of polypeptides and essential vitamins — have soared the US market and have recently started making an appearance on the Australian shelves. They've been put to the test and results have proven to enhance overall appearance, reduce breakage, whilst stimulating the natural cycle of hair growth. Simple and quick to apply, with consistency key to getting the most effective results. So with thick, boyish brows not going anywhere, it’s time to get ready to embrace your wild-side. Click Click!

You might recognise her name from previous posts on the miracle that is Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream and her work backstage at Romance Was Born during MBFWA, but we really have saved the best for last. Val Garland is one of the most sought-after makeup artists on the planet, having painted Kate Moss's face on more than one occasion, along with Lady Gaga. She's best-known for her eccentric runway work for designers including Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood, but we thought we'd take things back to basics during our chat with the Mac Cosmetics makeup pro. We're running our interview with Val in two parts, so stay tuned for the next installment. For now — click, click.
Last week, we were lucky enough to meet esteemed Mac Cosmetics makeup artist, Val Garland. Val has worked on famous faces including Kate Moss and Lady Gaga, and is seen as somewhat of a visionary in the industry. Her work at the Romance Was Born show brought out "dolly daydreams" (pictured), and the lip she created at Lisa Ho she likened to murano glass. Wella Professionals' Renya Xydis wanted the girls at Suboo to look sexy — she wanted to create an It Girl. A classic blow dry followed by salt spray gives that edgy vibe, while the tight cornrow keeps it modern. Elizabeth Arden's cult favourite Eight Hour Cream has been around since the 1930s, but a new product in the line, Intensive Lip Repair Balm ($25) is about to hit shelves. Nestled in this portable jar are shea butter and arnica flower oil, which combine to bolster the moisture in your lips. But what has us most impressed is this product's staying power. Hours after applying the menthol-infused balm, you'll be surprised to find your lips are still supple and soft. While the instructions recommend overnight use, consider it an all-day essential to kiss chapped lips goodbye.
