Kate Hudson wore Ann Taylor and brought Matthew Bellamy with her to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation's annual Hot Pink Party in NYC last night. The couple was joined at the charity bash by a Blumarine-wearing Elizabeth Hurley and Elton John, as well as fashion designers Michael Kors, Vera Wang, and Donna Karan. Kate was doing more than just walking the pink carpet; she also presented an award to Kay Krill, the CEO of ANN Inc., the parent company for Ann Taylor, where Kate serves as a brand ambassador.

Kate has been keeping busy in the Big Apple. She is currently promoting her new film, The Reluctant Fundamentalist, which will screen at the Tribeca Film Festival next week. Despite Kate's work duties, she and Matthew did manage to squeeze in time with their boys in the city ahead of their gala date.

Host Sarah Jessica Parker, decked out in a pink Oscar de la Renta gown, mingled with friends like Stanley Tucci, who brought along his fiancée Felicity Blunt. Heidi Klum caught up with some other members of the Project Runway family, like Kenneth Cole and Molly Sims. Cindy Crawford made the rounds with Roberto Cavalli and took the stage with Elizabeth Hurley to present one of the evening's honors. The event is a traditional kickoff to New York Fashion Week, which officially starts today. She bundled up and headed back to work for the second day in a row to shoot upcoming scenes as fans wait to find out Gossip Girl's true identity. The show's 100th episode aired on Monday and was filled with plenty of OMG moments including Blair's royal wedding and Serena's love confession to Dan!

Blake's been balancing her time between the set and fashionable parties lately, and yesterday she even fit in a visit to one of her favorite Manhattan boutiques, Chanel — looks like she has a new quilted Chanel case protecting her iPad. She recently stepped out to support friend Jason Wu at the launch of his Target collection, and she could be prepping for multiple parties in conjunction with Fall Fashion Week. Sarah Jessica kicked off the celebrations yesterday at a ladies lunch at the Oaks Club, where she donned an over-the-top Philip Treacy hat. Elizabeth Hurley is engaged! She reportedly accepted a proposal from her Australian cricketer boyfriend Shane Warne last night. The happy couple celebrated today in Kingsbarns, Scotland, where Shane was participating in the third round of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. He and Elizabeth were together on the Kingsbarns course during a particularly foggy morning to pose for photos with her son Damian, whose father is one of Elizabeth's former partners, Steve Bing. Elizabeth showed off a huge new sapphire, set in a band that looks a great deal like Kate Middleton's engagement ring. Elizabeth has been legally single for six months after her divorce from husband, Arun Nayar, to whom she was married for four years, was finalized in April. She and Shane have been a couple for nearly a year, though, and it seems congratulations are in order for the happy family!

Leighton Meester brought her dog to the NYC set of Gossip Girl today. She spent time with costars like Chace Crawford and Elizabeth Hurley, who was also spotted working with the cast earlier this month. The shooting distracted Leighton from some ongoing legal issues. Leighton Meester's suing her mother for allegedly misusing money — and her mom actually issued a counter suit! Elizabeth, meanwhile, had her son, Damian, on hand to see the backstage workings of the CW show. Despite her happy face as she walked between scenes, Elizabeth wasn't feeling her best. She tweeted yesterday, "On set of Gossip Girl with streaming cold and sore throat. I blame the air conditioning!" Leighton will have to leave the Big Apple production in order to visit Canada in September. Her project The Oranges is among the many movies premiering at the Toronto Film Festival.

Chace Crawford and Elizabeth Hurley filmed a scene for Gossip Girl in NYC yesterday. It was announced that Elizabeth would join the cast as media mogul Diana Payne last week, and if her sexy dress and body language are any indication it looks like she will be spicing things up for Chace's character. Leighton Meester and Penn Badgley have also reported to work on the next season with Leighton stepping back into Blair Waldorf's shoes after taking time to promote her big-screen project with Selena Gomez, Monte Carlo. Chace has his own new role to juggle since he just landed a part in What to Expect. His sister, Candice, is currently starring in her own mini movie since Tony and Candice Romo's wedding video was recently released online. Penn, meanwhile, made an appearance over the weekend at the Mondrian SoHo, where he mingled with Glee's Dianna Agron.
