Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and Pitbull were brought together by Tim McGraw last night for his Superstar Summer Night concert taping in Las Vegas. The event, which comes hot on the heels of Monday's ACM Awards, featured performances from Taylor, Keith, Ne-Yo, Luke Bryan, and Tim's wife, Faith Hill, who sang "Piece of My Heart." Taylor put her fit figure on display in a tight black dress as she performed "Highway Don't Care" with Tim and Keith. Lady Antebellum also took the stage to introduce fans to a new song, "Goodbye Town."

The country music event is meant to be a kickoff to the Summer touring season in the US, and also raises money for ACM Lifting Lives, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music. The special will air on Sunday, May 19, on CBS.

Country stars from all over the states got together in Las Vegas today for the Academy of Country Music Awards. Taylor Swift looked stunning in a gold Dolce & Gabbana gown as she worked her stuff on the red carpet alongside stars like Sheryl Crow and Keith Urban. Carrie Underwood made a big statement in a red Naeem Khan frock, while Faith Hill went for a simple black number to pose in front of photographers with husband Tim McGraw. Top nominees at the ACM Awards include Taylor, Carrie and Miranda Lambert, who will face off against husband Blake Shelton for the entertainer of the year award. Blake has another notch to add to his belt at the awards show — he is choosing the shindig with fellow musician Luke Bryan.

Nicole Kidman wore gold Vera Wang to accompany her husband Keith Urban to the Grammys in LA today. Both Keith and Nicole have been fixtures at awards season so far — she was up for two Golden Globes thanks to her small screen work in Hemingway & Gellhorn and her big screen work in The Paperboy. Today, though, is all about Keith, one of the show's presenters. He's not nominated this year, but he's won plenty of Grammys before. He has a total of four, and most recently won best male country vocal performance for "'Til Summer Comes Around" in 2011. The fun has already started for Nicole and Keith — they caught up with pals Faith Hill and Tim McGraw on their way inside the Staples Center.

Stars got a head start on the Grammys celebrations with a special event honouring Bruce Springsteen in LA last night. The MusiCares Person of the Year gala brought out Katy Perry, who is nominated and will present at Sunday's Grammys, as well as Chrissy Teigen and John Legend. John performed after returning to the West Coast with Chrissy from a visit to NYC, where they attended the amfAR Gala.

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw walked the carpet and also took the stage together and Marcus Mumford hung out backstage with Johnny Depp after singing with Mumford and Sons. The man of the hour, Bruce, rocked the crowd with a performance himself while Elton John, Sting, and others looked on. Taylor Swift was stunning in her Jenny Packham gown, which featured highlights of red — perhaps an homage to her new album, Red, which is demolishing records on the US charts. Carrie Underwood, who hosted the show alongside Brad Paisley, brought her husband, Mike Fisher, as her date for the evening. Hayden Panettiere, who is part of the country music scene now thanks to her new show, Nashville, opted for a sexy Georges Chakra Couture number that showed off some of her ink.
