She's just been awarded her first Golden Globe for her portrayal as Marilyn Monroe in My Week With Marilyn, and she's stripped down to her lingerie and taken on the platinum bombshell bob, bold red lip and dark lashes again for the February issue of US GQ magazine. Along with talking about her relationship with Heath Ledger and daughter Matilda, Michelle discussed playing the Hollywood icon, and moving away from sexier roles in both TV and film. "I wouldn't say that that would be one of my first qualities as a human being — being sexy . . . and I think because my character on Dawson's Creek was sexy . . . sexualised . . . sexual . . . I saw all the negative attention and connotations that can come along with that. And that those things can keep people from seeing you clearly." It's not the first time Michelle has donned the signature Marilyn Monroe look for a magazine — she appeared in the October US Vogue issue in a similar fashion.

After being awarded the Woman of the Year at last night's GQ Man of the Year Awards, it seemed fitting that Rachel Taylor should appear on the commemorative cover of the mag. The actress had her sleek blonde bob styled into a side part but it's her pretty purple eye that's the standout for us. A trend all over the Spring '11 runways, purple is perfect for party season — it's statement-making. Team with a neutral base and subtle lip colour for maximum impact.

Unfortunately none of the Twilight stars could make it out to Australia for the premiere of Breaking Dawn Part 1 last week — they were preoccupied with promoting the film in the US and North America — but one of the Cullen vampires, Kellan Lutz, has made it Down Under for the GQ Men of the Year Awards! Kellan is no stranger to the GQ family — he covered the recent issue of GQ Style Australia and attended the US version of the Men of the Year party earlier this month. He’s been joined by his girlfriend, Aussie actress Sharni Vinson, who will make the perfect tour guide for his Sydney visit, and Sharni herself has been looking forward to a “looooooong Australian summer Christmas holiday.” Other stars who will walk the black carpet and attend the black tie dinner at the Opera House tonight include Joel Edgerton, Rachael Taylor, Xavier Samuel, Megan Gale and Alex O’Loughlin, who is tipped to be honoured with the Man of the Year title.

Mila Kunis donned bikini bottoms for the December Men of the Year edition of GQ. Mila was the lone woman to earn a distinction in the issue, being crowned the "Knockout" of 2011. She posed for photographer Terry Richardson both in-studio and at a pool, where she took to a diving board in heels. She broke from shooting Oz: The Great and Powerful to speak with one of the magazine's reporters about moving to the US as a child from the Ukraine. After making the writer a cold remedy that involved boiling wine, vodka and various vitamins, she also joked about how she doesn't take her work too seriously. Mila said:

• On moving to the US from Ukraine in second grade: "My English was a little janky. I didn't have very many friends. And there was this place advertised on the radio as a place for kids to meet other kids — an acting class. My parents couldn't afford a babysitter. They said, 'Great, that takes up our Saturday.'"
• On not taking herself too seriously: "I love what I do, but my theory is that it's people who doubt what they do and want to prove it to you, they're like 'It's art. I create art. It's art, art, art.' I'm like, Holy sh*t, are you f*cking kidding me? I run around and pretend I'm someone else for twelve hours; I record Family Guy. Then I get to go home and watch Jersey Shore."

Elisabeth Olsen took yet another film festival by storm last week when she premiered Martha Marcy May Marlene to even more rave reviews in Toronto, and now she's showing off her sexy side in the pages of October's GQ. The 22-year-old actress is already making a name for herself apart from her older sisters, Mary-Kate and Ashley, though Lizzie did join the ranks of stylish Olsens with her most recent red carpet looks at TIFF. Much like her sisters, Elizabeth's style is also among her strong points, and she often picks pieces from MK and Ashley's collections, Elizabeth & James and The Row. In the interview, Elizabeth talked about the decision to take on such a risque role that includes nudity. She said, "The movie wouldn't have been as disturbing without it. You'd never believe that model of the moment Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and MAXIM magazine's World's Sexiest Woman would have been teased at school, would you? It seems that the that the 24-year-old encountered her own brand of Mean Girls throughout her schooling years, earning the nickname "kipper lips" by classmates due to her small breasts and large lips. Clad in bikini bottoms and a deep red Gucci 2011 Fall collection gown teamed with silver strappy sandals for her GQ spread, Rosie reminisced of when she was discovered as a summer intern at a modelling agency. "I was shocked. I used to see all these supermodels walking into the agency — tall, elegant glamazons. I was just a big lump from Devon."

Abbie Cornish has double the promotional duty to do with her Bradley Cooper film Limitless (already out here — check out our review) and her new movie Sucker Punch coming out this month — check out just-released photos from that film featuring Abbie along with her co-stars Vanessa Hudgens and Jon Hamm. She stripped down to pose for the April issue of US GQ magazine, and inside she chatted about all the fun she had learning to shoot a gun for her project with Jon. She said, "I'm a vegetarian — I'm not the type to want to go shoot a gun. Then I actually got to the range and totally fell in love with an M4. It was kind of amazing."

You don’t need to be a Miley Cyrus fan to know that she’s been through quite a bit in the past few months. Aside from the headline-making bong controversy (which she addresses in the latest US Marie Claire magazine), she broke up with Liam Hemsworth for a second time, and her parents are also getting a divorce. And, of course, the fact that they’re famous means everyone knows about their issues. Now her father Billy Ray is speaking out about the scandalous past year, telling US GQ magazine that he thinks Hannah Montana, the Disney show that catapulted his young daughter to stardom, is to blame. • On blaming Hannah Montana: “I hate to say it, but yes, I do. I’d take it back in a second.”
• On being the fall guy and taking the bullet: “Every time something happened in Miley’s career, every time the train went off the track, if you will — Vanity Fair, pole-dancing, whatever scandal it was — her people, or as they say in today’s news, her handlers, every time they’d put me . . . ‘Somebody’s shooting at Miley! Put the old man up there!’ Well, I took it, because I’m her daddy, and that’s what daddies do. ‘Okay, nail me to the cross, I’ll take it . . .’”
• On his current relationship with Miley: “It could be a lot better. I’m scared for her. She’s got a lot of people around her that’s putting her in a great deal of danger. I know she’s 18, but I still feel like as her daddy I’d like to try to help. Take care of her just a little bit, to at least get her out of danger. I want to get her sheltered from the storm.”

Hotness alert! We know the Victoria's Secret gals are RIDICULOUSLY sexy (it's kinda a requirement of the job), but this spread in Britain's February GQ magazine really proves the point. Scantily clad (again, an occupational hazard), Lily Aldridge, Erin Heatherton, Lindsay Ellington and Candice Swanepoel pose in an array of racy, lacy black lingerie for Vincent Peters' lens.
