I feel for Kirsten Stewart right now. I shouldn’t. I should be envious of the fact that she’s with the most-lusted after guy on the planet, that she's part of one of the biggest movie franchises of all time and that life in general, is pretty sweet.

But I just can’t get past her hair and the awkward in-between-style that she’s forced to roll with. It brings back painful memories of my in-between styles that I’d rather leave buried in the past.

The annoying truth is that in-between styles happen – and we don’t all have a Joan Jett biopic as an excuse – so make them as stress-free as possible . . .

  • Take inspiration from Alexa Chung and middle part your bangs – it’ll take training to get the hair to stay in place but this will trick people into thinking you’ve chosen the style, not had it thrust upon you.
