The hair direction for Alice McCall's Spring/Summer 2010-11 show was "not overdone, natural and approachable." But she still has edge. She's chic and not to be underestimated, according to Jamal Hammadi who created the style using SunSilk Addictive Brilliant Shine Wax and SunSilk Hold Spray. He said to think of Peggy Guggenheim hanging out in Morocco. Here's how to re-create the gypsy look at home . . .

STEP 1: Part hair in the middle, wet it down and comb in a light shine product or leave-in conditioner.

STEP 2: Braid into small sections and spritz with hairspray.

STEP 3: Go over the braid with a one-inch curling iron, paying close attention to the ends to ensure they're curled.

STEP 4: Twist multiple braided sections together and then blow-dry. Spritz with hairspray.

STEP 5: Undo the hair and braids with the tail-end of a fine-toothed comb and then shake the hair from underneath to create volume.

STEP 6: Create a small braid at the front, leaving the ends open, and finish with hairspray.
