We couldn't contain our excitement when pictures from the amfAR Gala came rolling in on Friday — someone must have sent a memo about stepping up the beauty looks, because they were the best we've seen in a while! Leigh Lezark led the way with her Gatsby-inspired hair and sexy, smoky eyes, while Jennifer Lopez let her golden glow steal the spotlight. Elsewhere in the world, Lauren Conrad nailed yet another up-high hairstyle, though this time she went for a more polished look, and Cara Delevingne smouldered in charcoal-lined eyes. Celebrities, models and fashion insiders took over the Plaza Hotel in NYC for the 2013 amfAR Inspiration Gala today. Jennifer Lopez, dressed in a blue sequinned Tom Ford gown, was one of the event’s honourees, along with Valentino and Alan Cumming — Jennifer received her humanitarian award from US Vogue’s larger-than-life contributing editor André Leon Talley. The gala kicked off with cocktails, where models such as Lindsey Wixson, Nicole Trunfio and a newly-platinum blonde Candice Swanepoel mingled. There was also a fashion show before dinner, and a live auction, which raises money for amfAR. Carly Rae Jepsen changed out of her formal dress into a blue and black suit to perform for the star-studded crowd, and DJs Mia Moretti and Caitlin Moe aka The Dolls took over the event’s music entertainment for the rest of the night.

It's hard to do an icon like Marilyn Monroe justice but that doesn't stop a bevy of celebrities trying. The American beauty would have turned 87 over the weekend. So in honour, we've picked 12 of the most interesting takes on her look over the years. Michelle Williams' homage in My Week With Marilyn is refreshingly different from the glitzy, camp portrayals of the blonde bombshell that we're used to seeing, but do you prefer Scarlett's, Rihanna's or Madonna's take on her iconic look?
There is no better way to celebrate and empower women than by putting on a concert packed with female superstars. Beyoncé Knowles, Jennifer Lopez, and Rita Ora all graced the US Chime for Change stage this year, and A-list actresses also hit attended the charitable event including Blake Lively and Jessica Chastain. The fashion was phenomenal, the hair and makeup was impeccable, and of course the cause was more than worthy. Click through to zoom in on the best looks of the night.
Londoners got a major treat last night when singers like Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora, Mary J. Blige, and Ellie Goulding belted out their famous tunes for a good cause at The Sound of Change Live concert presented by Gucci as part of its Chime For Change campaign. The evening raised $4.3 million USD in ticket sales and will fund about 200 projects in 70 countries around the world — all in support of girls' and women's empowerment. Beyoncé, who performed a special 45-minute set as the show's headliner, looked flawless in a black sheer and leather ensemble. Other stars that didn't need to sing to look stunning were Zoe Saldana, Freida Pinto, Blake Lively, and Jada Pinkett Smith. If you didn't catch up live yesterday morning (it did air at 3am, EST!), you can watch it on Chanel ELEVEN at 7.30pm this Friday June 7, or 7am on Saturday June 8. Or, you could just scoot inside now to see what everyone wore to this spectacular London affair.

Selena Gomez rocked a matte red lip and perfect beach waves, while one star's polished top knot has us yearning for an appropriate event to try it out at. But the winner? It's gotta be Rose Byrne. The hair, the skin, the eyes. . . This Aussie lady's got it all, and we couldn't love it more. Click through to see it all!
