"It's a kaleidoscope of pink," Natasha Severino (MAC) said of the eye-catching makeup palette she created for the Jenny Kee show. Giving a nod to Flamingo Park, Kee's old label, Severino used MAC Pink Swoon Blush, Magenta Madness Pigment, Process Magenta Chromagraphic Pencil, Pink Opal Pigment and Fuchsia Pink to create the wash of pink of the eyes. "It's all about different tones and different textures. I'm using matte products to sculpt and add shape and iridescent products to reflect the light. And then clashing that with a red lip." For the hair, Richard Kavangh (Redken) wanted "an organic tribal feel." He created 10 different looks with two different hair bases. One was inspired by an Ethiopian mating ritual and started with a French plait with hair then being twisted around and finally braided before the ends were backcombed. The second base was "traditional African cornrows shaped into a regal beehive." Then flowers, turbans, sticks and branches were added in to finish the looks. Take a look at backstage.
