Katie Holmes popped up in the front row at the Michael Kors Spring 2014 runway show in NYC yesterday. She wore a colourful head-to-toe look from the brand and posed with the designer backstage before taking her seat next to actress Kate Mara. Katie isn't just at NYFW to take in shows — she also presented her own collection, Holmes & Yang, with her stylist and business partner Jeanne Yang earlier this week.
Katie has been hanging in the Big Apple while filming her latest project, Miss Meadows, and tending to her injured daughter, Suri Cruise. Since breaking her arm a few weeks ago, Suri has been sporting a tiny cast with funny messages written on it, including one from a friend reading, "No butt smacking with this!"

Kerry Washington went graphic in a black and white dress by Wes Gordon, plus we got a peek at FLOTUS Michelle Obama's Monique Lhuillier number. All that and more in today's Fashion Flash.

There were plenty of ladies decked out in the red carpet finest, including Katy Perry in Giambattista Valli, Kerry Washington in Wes Gordon, Kate Mara in white Prada and more. Amy Poehler also went for white, choosing a dress from Basler. Nashville's Connie Britton wore a bright blue Temperley London number, while her co-star Hayden Panettiere picked a yellow Katharine Kidd gown. Colour was a popular choice, as Veep's Julia Louis-Dreyfus picked purple. Claire Danes went with baby blue to hit the dinner with her husband Hugh Dancy.
For last night's Vanity Fair and Juicy Couture Vanities Calendar party in West Hollywood, the styles proved fun and flirty, and they certainly favoured leg-baring numbers. Olivia Munn, who also shared hostessing duties, stepped out in a navy-and-white tuxedo-inspired minidress by Bird, and paired the look with a Juicy Couture clutch and peep-toe pumps. Meanwhile, bold prints took center stage thanks to Jaime King's Alexander McQueen dress and Brooklyn Decker's matching top and skirt set from Preen's Spring '13 collection. Eva Longoria opted not to walk the red carpet — and worked a casual outfit inside — while Kate Mara, Ellie Kemper, and Minka Kelly turned out even more cool cocktail ensembles. See it all inside.
Celebrities turned out to toast awards season at the Vanity Fair Vanities Calendar party in West Hollywood last night. Eva Longoria, Brooklyn Decker and Ali Larter made the rounds with Olivia Munn. The Office stars B.J. Novak and Ellie Kemper were also on hand to bring some laughs to the party, while Kate Mara and her boyfriend, Max Minghella, partied after recently flying in from NYC.
The awards season celebrations won't be letting up anytime soon, as the Oscars are coming up on Monday, Feb. 25.
