Leona Lewis and Rose Byrne Both Chose Bright Lipstick at Recent Events

Two days, two events, two leading ladies and two bold lip colours. I would normally start by admonishing Leona Lewis for not sticking to Rule #37 of Makeup Application: Thy Shall Only Play Up Thee Eye or Thee Lip, but she managed to pull off (deep breath) a-winged-eye-green-shadow-luminous-cheeks-and-bright-pinky-coral-lip with ease at the UK Salt premiere yesterday. Don't ask me how. I haven't figured it out yet. Maybe it's because she won The X Factor. Maybe not. But let's zone in on that lip colour anyhoo. I have one just like it: MAC Victorian ($35). S'amazing. Love it. Which is making me rather biased. Still I do like Rose's fire engine red that she wore to present an award at the 2010 Breakthrough Of The Year Awards in LA Sunday night. Hmmm. A bright new boldie vs a golden oldie. What's your pref?
