We may be well into the swing of Summer, but there's one Winter trend that just won't quit — the sexy, dark, dangerous lip look. Dramatic description? It may well be, but a makeup craze this good deserves a bit of extra attention. There's something so mysterious and luxe about slicking dark red, purple or berry-hued colours across your lips — it's the easiest way to make like a modern femme fatale and knock the socks off anyone who stands in your way. As these celebrities beautifully exhibit, there are so many ways to interpret the trend. No matter your complexion and hair colour, there's a version in here that you can take and make your own this season. Because while we love a bright, light lip for long lunches in Summer, there's nothing quite like a vampy vibe to carry you through the balmy nights.
Kristen Stewart channelled her inner Texan fashionista when she attended Chanel's Métiers d’Art 2013/2014 fashion show in Dallas, Texas, on Tuesday evening. The actress was named the new face of the upcoming campaign for the collection, which is called "Paris-Dallas" and draws inspiration from Texan culture and style. The ads will be shot by Karl Lagerfeld and are expected to be released in May 2014. Other celebrities at the cowboy-themed event included Zoë Kravitz, Lily Collins, and Kristen's Twilight franchise co-star, Dakota Fanning.
This is the second big fashion campaign for Kristen, who is also the face of Balenciaga's Florabotanica perfume. She recently wrapped up filming on her latest feature, Anesthesia, in NYC and has been laying low in LA for the past few weeks. Most recently, Kristen showed off her famously casual style when she went on an errand run in California while wearing her favourite skinny jeans and a navy sweatshirt.
Lily also paired some grungy waves with an after-dark makeup look, but instead of focusing on the eyes, Lily swept a deep red lipstick across her lips. She created an ombré look by focusing the dark lip colour on the outer part of her lips to add some edge. Dakota went Parisian gamine with her twisted up 'do that wrapped across the crown of her hair. She complemented the look with flirtatious winged liner and a pretty pink pout. The people of Dallas may have raised a brow or two over the fashion-forward beauty looks these ladies brought to town, but we love a girl who can shake things up. We're curious, which look was your favourite of the night?
The week kicked-off with the very fashionable CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards, and Ashley Olsen was a clear stand-out in the race to make this week's most beautiful list. Her natural brows and rose gold cream shadow made up the stuff of dreams. Fellow attendee Jourdan Dunn was also rocking a rustic and romantic look of bronze smoky eyes and plum lips. We're refusing to get over Lily Collins — how does someone enter this world so insanely pretty?! And then there was that little old fashion show, Victoria's Secret. . . Step right in.
It was a major night for stars and fashion at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, held at New York's Carnegie Hall. With style stand-outs like Rose Byrne (in Jonathan Saunders), Liya Kebede (in Proenza Schouler), and Lily Collins (in Julien Macdonald) taking the spotlight for the empowering night, finding a favourite honouree was a difficult task.
See what all the women wore, and find out why the 2013 ceremony will be one we'll be discussing long into next year (we're talking to you, Lady Gaga!).

As well as the showbiz stars mentioned above, some non-famous women were honoured as well. Most notably: Kaitlin Roig-Debellis, whose heroic actions saved 15 kindergarten children in last year's Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, and Malala Yousafzai, who was shot in the head — and survived — after standing up to conservative rule in her native Pakistan last year.
