Trend Alert: Conjoined Braids

Braids will always be bountiful in the world of beauty, but lately it seems that celebrities are taking to a new kind of plait: the conjoined braid.

Braids will always be bountiful in the world of beauty, but lately it seems that celebrities are taking to a new kind of plait: the conjoined braid. This twisted style starts as a French braid that frames your face before cascading into a long tail. Celebrities like Jennifer Hudson and Rita Ora have been spotted sporting the style, and Lucy Liu added a formal flair to her braid when she walked it down the red carpet at the Golden Globes. A new twist can add some life to an otherwise played-out style, but will you be taking the conjoined braid out for a spin?

Rachel Bilson, AnnaLynne McCord and More Celebrate TV With Cocktails

Rachel Bilson, AnnaLynne McCord and Lucy Liu were among the actresses who stepped out for yesterday's CW, CBS and Showtime 2012 Summer TCA Party at The Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Rachel Bilson, AnnaLynne McCord and Lucy Liu were among the actresses who stepped out for yesterday's CW, CBS and Showtime 2012 Summer TCA Party at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. The ladies were out to support their TV shows Hart of Dixie, 90210 and CBS's new Sherlock-based Elementary, respectively. They were ready for cocktails and mingling after their network hosted panels touting the new seasons of their programs during the day. Lucy joined her leading man, Jonny Lee Miller, to explain how their version of Sherlock Holmes is different from Robert Downey Jr.'s big-screen franchise and the BBC's Sherlock. For starters, Lucy, a woman, plays Watson, Sherlock's sidekick.

Rachel, AnnaLynne and Lucy made the rounds saying hi to Showtime stars Michael C. Hall, of Dexter, Episodes' Matt LeBlanc, and Don Cheadle from House of Lies. AnnaLynne's 90210 co-stars Jessica Lowndes and Matt Lanter were on hand, too. Rounding things out for the three networks were a handful of CBS leading ladies like Two Broke Girls' Beth Behrs and Kat Dennings. TV Starlets Put a Cocktail Spin on Their Summer TCA Party Attire

At yesterday's CW, CBS, and Showtime Summer TCA party, it was all about easy daytime glamour.

At yesterday's CW, CBS, and Showtime Summer TCA party, it was all about easy daytime glamour. To prove it, we've got Jaime King, Rachel Bilson, Sophia Bush, Lucy Liu, and Emmy Rossum leading the TV starlet pack in five killer 'fits. While Hart of Dixie co-stars Jaime and Rachel opted for feminine Stella McCartney and sleek borrowed-from-the-boys pieces respectively, Sophia made a siren statement in a form-fitting LRD and black peep-toe pumps. Rounding out the star-studded style, Lucy Liu sizzled in a black cut-out J. Mendel dress and Emmy Rossum channeled demure sex appeal in a lacy Zuhair Murad number. While these ladies' party wares certainly provide a cool burst of cocktail dressing inspiration, it's time for you to  weigh in — whose outfit is most Fab?

Last night the inside of Event Cinemas on George Street was transformed to look like an animated version of China for the Sydney premiere of Kung Fu Panda 2, which was held as part of the Sydney Film Festival. Traditional Chinese dragon dancers and musicians hit the red carpet ahead of stars Jack Black, Lucy Liu, director Jennifer Yuh Nelson and DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, while a life-size version of Po the panda also made the rounds to entertain young guests. Jack hammed it up for the cameras by showing off his best kung fu moves, while we chatted to Lucy, Jennifer and Jeffrey about bringing the popular panda hero and his friends back for a second outing. Lucy said voicing Viper for the sequel was “nice because you feel like you’re coming home,” and that it was much easier to ease into the role a second time. Many Aussie stars who attended saw the premiere as an opportunity to treat the whole family to a night out — especially those with young kids, such as Kylie Gillies and Peter O’Brien.
