Nail Art Inspired by Kate Middleton

Love It or Leave It: The Kate Middleton Nail by Sally Singer

0

Did you know that Sally Singer, Editor in Chief of T Magazine, dabbles with nail art on the side? Well now you do. As part of a collaboration with NYC-based nail artist Maki Sakamoto, Singer created five elaborate designs which were snapped by Raymond Meier for Nowness. Our pick of the bunch is what Sally dubs the "Kate Middleton nail": a royal blue shimmer with gold crown detailing on the middle finger. Of the inspiration behind the design, Sally says: "I was thinking of spring 2012 Chanel couture, with all those deep blues. I don’t usually like a blue nail but I liked those colour tones. It’s a royal, attention-grabbing nail—it’s the Kate Middleton nail. I wanted crowns and heraldry." Take a look at Sally's other designs and tell us if you're royally pleased.
