Just one more sleep until Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, and I'm starting to prepare my kit. Covering the shows from a beauty perspective is very different to fashion, because I'm backstage stalking hair and makeup artists and snapping models, instead of sitting front row dissecting the fashion trends. I start to see the beauty trends take shape while the model is being transformed in the chair — usually while nibbling on an apple or reading a book (cuteness!). I'm all about comfort when it comes to fashion week, because when you're covering over 40 shows in five days, all you really want is a hair tie, lip balm and deodorant. True story. Come with me!

We put the call out for readers who wanted to review Nivea Sensitive Protect Deodorant Roll On ($3.79) last month and had an overwhelming response! We've already reported the first round of reviews, and now it's time to hear what the remaining reviewers had to say. Nivea Sensitive Protect Roll On claims to give 48-hours of anti-perspirant, and is targeted at sensitive skin sufferers because it is free from alcohol, colourants and preservatives. Here's what our readers had to say...
"I liked the products packaging, especially the purple print and the feather. The product was very easy to apply and was very soothing to my underarm area. It was thinner than other deodorants and dried quickly. It definitely provides all day anti-perspiration protection. I did not find the product irritating, there was no burning sensation. The skin under my arms felt soothed and moisturised. The product was definitely gentle enough for me. I would definitely use this product again." – Caroline
"The texture felt really smooth and gently to apply which was great, it didn’t have a scent to it which is not a good or a bad thing really, as long the deodorant works was the most important. The product definitely worked for me, but I did find on the hotter days perspiration seemed to come through a bit more and it lacks the staying power. It left no white marks or chalky residue which I loved. I also really loved the packaging and the design of the bottle however, I found it be heavier than most deodorants due to the glass shape." – Sam

We put the call out for readers who wanted to review Nivea Sensitive Protect Deodorant Roll On ($3.79) last month and had an overwhelming response! The chosen ones have been hard at work and play testing out the product which claims to give 48-hours of anti-perspirant protection. Nivea Sensitive Protect Deodorant Roll is perfect for sensitive skin sufferers because it is free from alcohol, colourants and preservatives — so let's see what our first round of reviewers had to say!
“The Nivea Sensitive Protect deodorant ticked all the boxes for me. The formula of this roll-on really works. I have really sensitive skin, so it’s difficult to find one that is suitable and doesn’t irritate me. I also prefer my deodorants to have mild scents therefore it doesn’t compete and clash with my perfume. The product was very easy to use, didn’t leave any white marks on my clothes, dried quickly and most importantly it controlled odour. The size of the item was convenient, easily fitted into my travel cosmetic/gym bag. Would highly recommend it those who have sensitive skin.” – Priscilla
“I usually prefer aerosol spray deodorants, but I found the Nivea roll on really effective. It smelt nice, didn’t mark my clothes and kept me feeling fresh right through the day.” – Tara
"The problem with deodorants for 'sensitive' types is sometimes they don't work — luckily this isn't the case with Nivea Sensitive Protect. The almost-nothing smell meant that my deodorant didn't compete with my perfume (win!) but I didn't get any of the sting that comes with hard-core anti-perspirants. I really liked the simple, fuss-free roll-on packaging = so much more precise than a spray-everywhere aerosol, and never noticed any dreaded white marks on clothing. For me, Nivea Sensitive Protect ticks all the boxes, so I'll be buying again. And again!" — Viv
Our underarms can be very sensitive little souls, especially when we don't pay attention to their cries for help. You know the ones — when they're irritated and itchy. With all the razor action going on under there, it's really no wonder! Often the forgotten and ill-regarded area of our bodies, the skin covering our underarms is actually very delicate, so it's important to use deodorant that caters to sensitive skin. Try to find one that is free from alcohol, colourants, or preservatives; and has soothing and repairing properties, like NIVEA Sensitive Protect Roll On ($3.79). Also available in an aerosol, the NIVEA Sensitive Protect range is enriched with avocado oil which is great for skin hydration; and soothing chamomile, which will aid in protecting skin from redness or irritated bits.
Do you suffer from razor burn, ingrown hairs and irritation in the underarm department? Well, Spring is finally here and we don't know about you, but we're getting more and more conscious of that little area that's been hidden from the world for the past few months! Nivea's new Sensitive Protect Deodorant range is specifically designed to help sensitive skin sufferers, and we need a team of beauties to trial it! We really value your opinion, so if you're interested in receiving a free sample to review, email your full name and postal address to BellaSugar Australia.
THIS TRIAL HAS NOW ENDED.
It's the third day of Spring and we couldn't be happier! We're gearing up for all things exfoliated and bronzed, and there's some amazing new prods on the market this month to help us get there.
