Following in the footsteps of Madonna, who added ground-up 18-carat rose gold to her eyeshadow for her Super Bowl performance, Rihanna did one better at the Grammy Awards, with her metallic gold nails. The stiletto-shaped talons were actually painted by manicurist Kimmie Kyees using Amor 24 Gel Polish by Red Carpet Manicure, containing one ounce of 24-carat gold and retailing for $US5,000. There was also a tiny dollar sign imprinted on Rihanna's pinkie — coincidental, no? We're all for splurging on the occasional beauty treatment or two, but what do you think about her costly mani?
