Salma Hayek Talks Teasing and Plastic Surgery in Allure's September Issue
Salma Hayek Tells Allure She Was Teased About Her Looks

It's hard to believe that a woman as beautiful as Salma Hayek would ever be teased about her looks, but she confessed to Allure magazine — she goes all Italian screen siren for their September cover — that she was "because I was too short, or I was too brown. You would think in Mexico that would be something normal, but I did get teased." An outspoken advocate for embracing your looks and not going under the knife to try and turn back time — "It's like the uniform of a generation. And it's not necessarily beautiful. It's not wrinkled-looking, but it's not beautiful," she tells the beauty bible — the early jibes about her looks have refreshingly not affected her confidence. When asked if there was a certain body part that looked better 10 years ago, the 44-year-old laughingly replied "My boobs," before adding, "They're not bad, by the way. I'm not complaining about them." Because that wouldn't be the Hayek way.
