There are more than a few celebrities we can rely on for a good laugh — and Hamish Blake certainly hasn't let us down this time around! The radio funnyman kept us entertained on more than one occasion this week, first with his Justice Crew quip, and secondly when 50 Cent (yes, the 50 Cent) singled him out on social media. Why? You'll have to click through to find out! Luckily, Hamish's mate Andy was there to back his buddy up. Also needing a bit of support? The poor female celebrity who got mistaken for a man, One Direction's Liam, who had his underpants stolen while in Sydney, and Ke$ha, who had some bad news to share with her Australian fans. There's much more inside — come along!
Jennifer Lopez donned a nude-coloured gown to attend Muhammad Ali's Celebrity Fight Night in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday night. She had boyfriend Casper Smart by her side for the annual event that benefits the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center as well as other charities. Jennifer, who also brought her sister Leslie Lopez along, wasn't just one of the star-studded crowd: she took the stage to give a live performance, which included a duet with Andrea Bocelli. She also linked up with the host of the evening, Ali, at the event that brought out Rita Wilson, Steve Martin and more. J Lo travelled to the desert for the Fight Night with Casper after getting in quality time with her twins last weekend in LA.
We love it when celebs hit Twitter, not least of all because they love to give their opinions. This week, it was all about fellow celebrities. Which stunning actress is currently experiencing a slight obsession with singer Rihanna? Which award-winning musician does Guy Sebastian feel sorry for after his awkward Grammys performance? The answers lie in their tweets, which we've compiled here for you to peruse! Also sending out some not-so-subtle messages? Evan Rachel Wood, who's pretty happy about the return of a questionable fashion era, Jimmy Fallon, who brings home some truths about a common household item we all use and many more. While most of celeb-land has been fairly quiet over the Christmas holidays (save for a baby announcement and some cool New Year's Eve celebrations), one place that's never silent is Twitter. While we've been taking a break, all our favourite celebrities have been as active on the social-media front as ever, tweeting well-wishes, funny thoughts, astute observations and anything else that comes to mind. Actress Lucy Hale takes issue with some modern technology features she doesn't appreciate, Andy Lee comes up with a uniquely Aussie new concept and Erin McNaught knows the solution to any problem . . . But that's not all — there's much more to read, so click through to check it out!
This week in the Twitterverse we had multiple celebrities weighing in on various hot topics. From clearing up pesky rumours (Vogue Williams) and sending out congratulations (Joel Madden) to sharing the love (Nicki Minaj) and appreciating everything you've been given (Harry Styles from One Direction), stars were forthcoming with their feelings, and we lapped it up. Things took a serious turn when numerous celebs weighed in on the royal prank tragedy, but others kept things light-hearted with witty observations and tongue-in-cheek comments sent out to millions of followers. Click through the gallery to read up on what's been occupying the minds of your favourite celebs this week!

Nora Ephron’s memorial service was held in NYC yesterday and some of Hollywood’s biggest names flocked to the Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall to pay their respects. Meg Ryan, Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Westfeldt, Steven Spielberg, Martha Stewart, Steve Martin and Sally Field were just some of the stars who attended the service for the filmmaker behind classics such as When Harry Met Sally . . ., Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail. Nora passed away on June 26 after a battle with leukaemia and stars were quick to share anecdotes and memories from working with her.
Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood were just a few of the big country stars who walked the red carpet at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas today. Taylor, fresh from the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, wore a pretty white J. Mendel gown for the festivities. She was supposed to bring cancer-stricken patient Kevin McGuire as her date for the show, but unfortunately he was hospitalised and unable to attend; on the weekend Taylor tweeted, “Just talked to Kevin McGuire. He's not well enough to join me at the ACMs. Please keep him in your thoughts. I'll make it up to you, Kevin!” Nicole Kidman and Keith flew out of Sydney late last week with their daughters so Keith could rehearse for the ACMs, where he’s hitting the stage to perform his new song “For You.” Others who headed to Vegas for the event include LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian, Marc Anthony with his new girlfriend Shannon De Lima, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, and Steve Martin.
James Franco and Anne Hathaway have never played opposite each other on screen, but their next gig will pair them onstage as Oscar hosts. Though Hathaway has a bit of experience on the Oscar stage (remember her charming dance with host Hugh Jackman a couple of years ago?), this pair definitely skews much younger than the usual the Academy Awards emcees (take last year's duo, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin).
Both stars have awards buzz this year, and Franco is such a man of mystery that I'm extremely curious to see how he handles the hosting duties. However, I do admit that I'm a little baffled by the choice, when the host is usually a comedian or someone a little more mainstream (and yes, older). What do you think of these two hosting the Oscars together — is it right on, or totally random?
Anne Hathaway joined a variety of current and former Saturday Night Live stars for the American Museum of Natural History's 2010 Gala on Thursday evening. Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Abby Elliott and more had the evening off from prepping for the weekend's new episode, which Anne hosted. Anne made a rare public appearance with boyfriend Adam Shulman on her arm, while Tina Fey also enjoyed a date night with her husband, Jeff Richmond. Lately, Anne has been inseparable from her Love and Other Drugs co-star Jake Gyllenhaal, who hit the town instead with Natalie Portman for a charity party.
