We've made no secret of our adoration for Elle Fanning. The 13-year-old wows us with her fashion and beauty looks time after time, and she was just as delightful as you'd expect when Pop caught up with her in Sydney last week on a promo tour for her new movie Super 8. She's a pro at wearing plaits — sporting everything from fishtail pigtails to a chunky side fringe braid in a recent editorial for Teen Vogue — but she's all about the fluffy-haired fabulous in BlackBook's June/July 2011 issue. Michael Long styled her strands for the shoot, by photographer Yu Tsai, and it's one of our favourite ever, featuring the rising star pulling a series of funny faces. The raw texture of her hair — it's kinda crimped meets curl, with a flyaway finish — walks the fine line between runway and reality. Much in the same way that Elle does. Bravo, little Fanning. Bravo.
