Tips to Having a Painless Bikini Wax

I know it's a taboo subject, but bikini waxes have earned themselves a bad reputation because they're a pain in the you-know-what. So today I'm going to share some secrets on taking the sting out of taking it off. When planning your bikini wax, remember a few things. No, no, no nights out before you get your bikini wax because if there's any alcohol left in your system, your skin will be very sensitive. And bikini waxes and sensitive skin do not mix. Cleanse and tone the area with antiseptic ingredients and those include things like witch hazel, benzoyl peroxide and tea tree oil. Also, if you have sensitive skin, you can take Advil or ibuprofen 30 to 45 minutes before your appointment. Let's say you do get an ingrown, it 's really easy to fix. All you do is exfoliate the area every day with a salicylic acid treatment and then that will bring the hair to the top of the skin. Also you could use with a hot compress or even a face mask to bring the hair follicles= to the top of the skin as well. Now at this point, I know it's not a great visual, but it will start to look like a blemish, and you'll see the hair follicle and be able to extract it with a pair of tweezers. Now that the wax is over, be sure to wear loose fitting clothing, and dare I say it, go commando. You don't want anything rubbing up against that skin because it could cause redness and bumps. Also apply a post wax serum like this one from Stark because it has antiseptics in it, so it will help with redness and keep the skin clear.
