Valentine's Day Jennifer Garner Soft Waves Hair Tutorial

Jen was rocking her signature soft waves at the LA premiere of Valentine's Day (are you as excited about that film as me?) on Monday night and the soft, romantic look would be perfect for the real Valentine's Day, so we got the low down on the ins and outs of the style from the man who created the look, Frédéric Fekkai stylist, Adir Abergel.

"First," Adir says, "prep the hair by applying hairspray at the roots. Next, blow-dry the whole head with your hands to create texture and bring out the natural wave. Follow by taking a round brush and blow-drying the bangs forward and to one side.

"Continue with a one-inch curling iron, curling hair away from the face, but leaving the ends alone. After curling the hair, mix Frédéric Fekkai Coiff Océanique - Tousled Wave Spray ($46) with Frédéric Fekkai Coiff Magnifique - Ultra-Light Finishing Crème ($46) and apply to the ends to create a tousled look. Finally, to hold the look for the entire evening, finish with hairspray all through the hair."
