Call it Seattle by way of Saint-Germain. The Saint Laurent Autumn Winter 2013 took a detour into "California grunge," with creative director Hedi Slimane filling the runway with babydoll dresses, slashed leather leggings, flannel shirts, and embellished buckle boots. The YSL signatures were cleverly woven into the collection — "Le Smoking" was a tough elongated tuxedo jacket over a mini, the iconic fur chubbies turned into voluminous fur jackets draped sexily over dresses, and sparkling fishnets (even on full bodysuits) winked at traditional French dressing. We bet that front-row fans like Jessica Chastain and Kirsten Dunst will be snapping up the perfect leather coats — a sharp double-breasted trench was a standout — and the flat boots that accompanied many of the looks. Did we mention the army of black-leather-mini-clad models that came out at the very end of the show? Cool girls from coast to coast, from continent to continent, will be rocking those come Winter. It seems March is a very popular month amongst the beauty pack. It nearly broke our hearts narrowing down the top 10, must-have beauty products, so we decided to go to 15! There's a magical Spring 2013 colour collection from Yves Saint Laurent that will blow your mind, some rich and vampy new lipsticks from Tom Ford, a power serum packed full of vitamins from Dermalogica, a natural skincare range from Nivea, and so much more. Phew! Credit cards at the ready...
Jennifer Hawkins led a bevy of beauties down the runway at last night's Myer Autumn/Winter 2013 Collection Launch at Mural Hall in Melbourne. Alexandra Agoston, Louise Van de Vorst and Alice Burdeau were among the models to join Jennifer in showcasing the latest and greatest Winter wares available now at the department store.
The makeup look for the evening's event was all about the "Flirty Sixties Flick", created by Natasha Severino, Yves Saint Laurent Australian Make-up Associate. "The makeup inspiration for Myer Autumn/Winter 2013 came from the subtle influence of the '60s seen throughout 'The Edits'. Peplum skirts, Winter florals and leather silhouettes all play homage to the swinging '60s," says Natasha.
"The black eyeliner is prominent over the entire lid and is very matte in texture, juxtaposing the luminous, polished, dewy skin. Brows are sculpted and groomed, whilst cheeks are softly flushed and dewy. A barely there mouth elegantly finishes this modern, wearable look."

We were treated to not just one, but three gorgeous looks from Anne Hathaway on Oscars night. Not only did Hathaway take home the win for best supporting actress, she also performed on stage and managed to hit up an after-party, giving us three different takes on award-night dressing. For her first look, Hathaway hit the prestigious red carpet wearing a pale pink Prada gown — complete with a bow-detailed cut-out back — paired with a radiant Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace. For her Les Misérables performance, Hathaway changed into a nude-hued embellished custom Giorgio Armani gown, and later into the night, she donned a custom light-blue silk Saint Laurent column gown for the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty. Now it's time to pick favourites — which gown gets your vote?
Hot dates, home-cooked meals, fun with the girls, a movie with the boy... Can you tell we're getting ready for some romance tonight? We asked the Sugar eds to reveal their Valentine's Day plans but more importantly, the slap they'll be wearing on their pretty faces. We already suggested going for a low-key lip to maximise pashing potential — but there's been some overnight body scrubbing and...
It's the day you either love, hate, or love to hate — Valentine's Day! Personally, we love it because even if there isn't a certain someone to lock lips with, cocktails with the girls is always fun. But on the subject of kissing, the logistics of pashing with a bold, red lip can be tricky, so why not opt for a crazy sexy smoky paired back with a non-committal lip stain or balm? We've got 10 favourites, all tried and tested!
It's officially the month of love and to celebrate (any excuse, really) we're bringing you the latest and greatest products set to hit shelves this month. Bobbi Brown's Pink & Red Collection couldn't come at a better time — hello Valentine's Day face — and Benefit Cosmetics' The One is like a lip tint, cheek stain, contouring cream and highlighter in, well, one. You know we're big Yves Saint Laurent mascara fans, and this month they're coming at you with waterproof blue and violet. Way too amazing to explain in words, click through and see for yourself.
Out of all the celebeauties to walk the red carpet at yesterday's SAG Awards, we were flawed by the perfection that is Rose Byrne. From her glossy finger waves, adorable doe-eyes covered in a light shimmer of taupe shadow to those candy pink lips, Rose proved that sticking to your signature style always works on the red carpet. Click through to zoom in on that skin, and shop our product picks to get her look at home.
We're kicking-off Australia Day with none other than the beautiful Kate Ritchie. The ex-soapy star and radio presenter is now hard at work on a different aspect of the media and entertainment industry — writing — but she's also set to sit back in the acting chair for a new ABC drama. We spoke to the stunning brunette about her favourite products and found out what it's like to live a day in her life.
