Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner cheered on their daughter Seraphina as she crossed the finish line at her track meet on Sunday in Pacific Palisades. Along with her proud parents, Sera also had the support of older sister Violet, who helped her younger sister prep for her race by accompanying for her pre-run stretches. It was a loving afternoon for Jen and Ben, who showed PDA in the stands. Adding to the family fun, Ben also treated his daughters to a trip to the farmers market that day as well.
Seraphina is not the only one in the family to receive praise for her accomplishments. It was recently announced that Ben will receive an honorary doctorate from Brown University on May 26. It's the season for special recognition, as Ben's best friend Matt Damon just got an award last week from Harvard. Ben will also participate in Live Below the Line, where for one day he will consume less than $1.50 worth of food and drink.
Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck and their daughters, Violet and Seraphina, had a family outing in LA on Saturday. Boston native Ben wore a Red Sox hat for a stop with his girls at Brentwood Country Mart, where he also showed PDA with his wife. He's been keeping his hometown in mind since the Boston Marathon bombings paralysed the town last week. Ben made his support known on his Twitter account, sharing, "Such a senseless and tragic day. My family and I send our love to our beloved and resilient Boston."
Although Ben and Jen were joined by the girls for the weekend stop, they were able to sneak in alone time together. The couple kicked off the weekend with a Friday night dinner date, and they also ran errands as a duo following Jen's 41st birthday last Wednesday.
We had plenty keeping us busy here in Australia, what with the Logies (well done, Asher!) and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia happening within 24 hours of each other, but there was lots going on overseas this week as well! Halle Berry displayed her teensy baby bump when she attended a film premiere in Buenos Aires, while Aussie beauty Miranda Kerr held the hand of her bub Flynn on a walk in Beverly Hills. Nicole Richie and Jessica Alba flaunted their fabulous figures while on a girls' trip to St. Barts, and Charlize Theron and Seth MacFarlane set tongues wagging when they left a restaurant together. Ben Affleck caught up with Rachel McAdams on the red carpet at the LA premiere of their newest film, To the Wonder. Rachel wore a black lace dress as she greeted Ben and their co-star Olga Kurylenko, who took a break from her promotional duties for Oblivion to attend the event. Plenty of other stars turned out for the movie's debut, including Homeland's Morena Baccarin, Zachary Levi, and How I Met Your Mother's Josh Radnor. During the premiere, Ben discussed how he and Jennifer Garner balance their busy schedules with their family life. Jennifer recently revealed that she is happy to work less for Ben, but now that she's got new projects on the horizon Ben is picking up more home duties. He said, "I'm preparing myself to take on some more of the burden [at home]. She's got a couple of movies coming up, so it's going to be a little Mr. Mum action, and I'm going to get back in the ring and we're going to see if I still have it."
Rachel has been spending her time in LA working on her press duties for the film. She stopped by Disneyland with her friends and family earlier this month and appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, where she revealed that she got hallucinations after buying pot in her native Toronto.
Just in case we needed reminding that Kate Middleton is the coolest royal out, she picked up a ping pong bat this week — while six months pregnant, if you don't mind — and had a bit of a game with her equally-sweet husband Prince William. Also carrying babies (albeit, in a slightly different way)? Chris Hemsworth and Victoria Beckham, both of whom carted around their adorable daughters on a day out in Los Angeles — we love seeing celebrities clocking up some quality family time! Elsewhere, Hayden Panettiere set tongues wagging for a couple of reasons when she hit the beach in Malibu, and here in Australia, Jessica McNamee and Lara Bingle were sitting pretty at a pre-fashion week show. When your Twitter feed is full of comedians, models and actors who moonlight at geniuses, it's a pretty safe bet that some of the tweets you read will be great. This week, Scott Dooley won Twitter with his doozy — and we'd happily push to get his definition of the word "selfie" added to the dictionary. Model Chrissy Teigen is upset about something (and we can totally feel her pain), Fifi Box has had a very awkward moment with her mum and singer Pink loves someone's sour breath (true story!). Russell Brand tweeted about who he thinks was the last true rock star, Ben Affleck mourned the loss of an industry legend and Neil Patrick Harris might just have the best partner ever. . . Ben Affleck helped his oldest daughter, Violet, out of his car in Santa Monica yesterday. Violet wore a pastel ensemble and carried a bag monogrammed with her name for the bright father-daughter stop. Ben is currently on dad duty with wife Jennifer Garner spending time in NYC. Although Jen left her family for a stay on the East Coast, she got in plenty of quality time with the kids recently. Earlier this week, she was the one helping Violet out of the car while out in LA, and Jen also shared brunch with all three of their children over the weekend.
Ben and Jen have been taking turns caring for their kids based on their busy schedules, and she recently addressed his highly criticised Oscar speech, in which he referred to their marriage as "work." Although critics were quick to paint his words in a negative light, Jennifer explained Ben's Oscars speech from her perspective in an interview with Britain's Telegraph, revealing, "I know Ben, I knew he meant it as the hugest, warmest compliment in the world. I think he was saying, 'Look, what we have is really real and I value it above all and I'm in it with you and I know you are in it with me.' That's the way I took it."

Ben and Jen showed the rare public display of affection as they took their two oldest children, Seraphina and Violet, to a food stand for a fun family outing. The couple, as well as their children, have been able to spend quality time together recently. Ben and Jen kicked off their weekend during a Starbucks stop with Sera on Friday and the whole gang got together for a trip to the park last weekend.
Along with dedicating her time to her family, Jen has had her fair share of solo outings lately as well. Jen sported a pair of sexy heels for a meeting on Friday and also joined a group of girlfriends for dinner at Giorgio Baldi last week.
When Ellen's in town, you know all eyes — including ours — are going to be trained on her every move, and so they have been since the super popular talk show host and comedian touched down in Sydney on Friday morning. Holding hands with her Australian-born wife, Portia, Ellen stopped to sing with fans, chatted to reporters and danced in front of the hundreds of peopl at the airport, before shooting straight off the Sydney's Taronga Zoo. And when we weren't on Ellen watch? We were taking a long, hard look at new pictures of Ryan Gosling (duty calls!), loving how happy and beautiful Diane Kruger was looking at the premiere of her new movie, The Host, and snooping Aussie stars at L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
