The Don't: See a bobby pin . . . steal a bobby pin

Why you do it: Because someone's obviously doing it to you. Your collection should total at least 8,973 by now

Your Splendour in the Grass Makeup Tips Start Right Here

Sure, Splendour in the Grass is all fancy pants now with its very own spa, but you still need to look good upon arrival. And when it comes to looking good, no one's better equipped to help you than Jillian Dempsey, Avon's Global Creative Colour Director/Mrs. McDreamy. Here she shares her tips on looking cool, not overdone.

Lips: No mirror? No problem. Jillian recommends a lip gloss or tinted lip balm with an SPF. Both are easy to apply when you just want a little hint of makeup. Try Bloom Lip Protectant SPF 30+ ($12.95).

The eyes: Smudging, creeping mascara does not a happy gig-goer make. Jillian recommends a waterproof mascara "because once you put it on, you're done."

The complexion: If you have to wear foundation, Jillian says go a tinted moisturiser or a foundation with a sheer finish. "And I love blotting papers," she says. "They're easy to pack and it's a great way to eliminate shine in any unwanted areas." Try BECCA Luminous Skin Colour ($68).

A multi-tasking option: "I have this product that's called the Multi-Pencil that is like a three-in-one," Jillian says. "You can do your lips, your cheeks and your eyes. It's really convenient." Try NARS Limited Edition Multiple Tints ($89).

And don't forget: Wear your SPF. "That's probably the most important - to protect your skin," Jillian advises.

I like festivals. I do. I really do. But I'd LOVE festivals if they came with a spa. I'm shallow, deal with it. And don't tell me you wouldn't be tempted to pop in and have a quick tong-top-up to impress the guy in the stripy T. Quite. So anyone who's with me might want to check out the latest addition to Splendour's line-up for tomorrow: the Splendour Day Spa. I know. How frickin' exciting is that. Go have your hair done by ghd, your makeup touched up by Napoleon Perdis artists. Gel Blush: The Cheat's Way to a No-Makeup-Makeup Glow

If your complexion's looking a duller than dishwater, there's an easy way to mimic a glowing-from-within effect. It's called gel blush. While harder to find and apply than cream blush, the payoff is worth it. Not only does it give the skin a transparent flush, its major benefits are that it's long-wearing and you won't even look like you're wearing makeup at all. Here are some handy hints for this makeup must-have . . .

Smooth sailing: Skin that's been freshly exfoliated will allow for a smoother application.

The key to success: The key to applying gel blush is to work quickly and precisely. First, apply the gel blush, like Smashbox O-Glow Intuitive Cheek Colour ($37.95) or DuWop Bronze Rush ($52), over freshly washed skin or a liquid-based foundation. (Do not apply gel blushes over powder products.) Next, using the fingers, a sponge or a foundation brush, lightly tap in the product to the apples of the cheeks up toward the hairline. Blend, and layer on more if necessary.

The London Look Face-Off: Jessica Biel vs. Audrina Patridge

Both girls were in London Town last night: Jessica Biel was there with her A-Team cast mates to promote the movie, while Audrina Patridge was bidding adieu to The Hills. Yet again. Which means peeps that we've struck gold for another London Look Face-Off. (The last one was super-close, remember? But Ashley Greene did just enough to take the title.) In the red corner, we have Biel, who wore her newly-lightened strands all teased and rock 'n roll. She teamed the sexy style with a gorgeous metallic eye and peach gloss. While in the blue white corner, Patridge twisted her tousled hair back into a make-shift half-up, half-down 'do. Her makeup look was fairly similar, but she kept the sparkly eyeshadow to the upper lids, and added a double dose of tan and fake lashes. I've gotta say Jess has my vote. Glam-o-rama. Who has yours?

Australia's Next Top Models DIY Stylin': Episode 2

Take 11 models, throw in some live TV, take out the stylists and you've got yourself a killer second episode of Australia's Next Top Model. In case you missed it: the remaining 11 models were whisked away to FOX Studios to film a short segment with Channel V's Danny Clayton LIVE. Oh and they had to do their own hair, makeup and styling. Way to sort out the good from the bad. LOVE.

The Good: Kelsey rocked a sleek chignon and gorgeous cream blush, but it wasn't really Channel V. Joanna had pretty tousled hair-but then when doesn't Joanna have tousled hair? Chantal rocked a very V style: stylish but a little bit edgy and messy. And both her and challenge winner Jessica went with bright lips. Bravo girls. Bravo.

The Bad: Amanda served up an epic fail with a braid that judge Charlotte Dawson described as a "bungy rope that had been over-used." Poor love. Lucky she nailed her photoshoot.

The Downright Ugly: Kimberley (the meter maid) swore like a sailor and applied Barbie pink gloss like a three-year-old. Oh and has clearly never heard of frizz-fighting. And Sophie (the now-not-so-tan Avon lady) decided to crimp her hair. As you do. Poor Soph got the brunt of the criticism for the day. Charlotte Dawson said she looked like she'd been "electrocuted," either that or she was "auditioning for The Muppet Show." Danny just had one word: "plastic." Ouch.
