So far, 2013 has been a big fashion year for a certain Miley Cyrus. She's been photographed in Chanel, Valentino, and Balmain (pictured from left to right at a Ryan Seacrest event, the Maxim Hot 100 Party, and just yesterday at the Billboard Music Awards) and is well on her way to achieving that one thing every style icon has mastered: a signature look. She's recently skipped over the majority of the colour spectrum, instead gravitating toward black and white accented with a third hue by way of her red lips. It gets more specific, too: beyond loving the two-toned combo, Miley's showing a serious propensity for pantsuits rather than the ubiquitous red carpet dress. 
The singer's image has progressively gotten sexier as she's moved past her Hannah Montana stage, and fashion-wise, her cropped 'do seemed to usher in a whole new era of envelope-pushing fashion. Whatever the case, we love that she's turned into a dresser to watch.

We know. How romantic, right? Well, being a professor of perfume is a little more complex than that — and rightly so given Elisabeth de Feydeau's extensive experience and credentials. In town to speak at the Australian Financial Review's luxury business and fashion summit, Bespoke, Elisabeth's developed sense of smell led her to be head of cultural affairs at Chanel and Bourjois, before founding her own perfume consulting business, Arty Fragrance.

This is a woman who travels the world in the name of training prestigious names in perfumery, all the while analysing past experience and anticipating scent trends. We sat down with "Dame de la Jurade" to talk nostril strengthening, developing our olfactory memory and yes, we asked her to name her favourite fragrance. Read more, after the jump.

Karl Lagerfeld showcased the Cruise 2014 collection in Singapore yesterday and as we've come to expect from global creative director for Chanel makeup, Peter Philips, the beauty look is just as inspiring as the clothes. While the latter channelled Coco Chanel’s 1913 style, the makeup had it in the eyes with a bold and electrifying blue underneath, and a thick, cat-eye look on top. A soft complexion complemented a glossy nude lip and in all honesty, we're finding it hard to look away! Sam McKnight created an edgy, faux fringe for the hair; as seen on Cara Delevingne above. The full version of Karl Lagerfeld's latest short film for Chanel, called Once Upon a Time, has finally landed online. The film, which stars Keira Knightley as a young Gabrielle Chanel, tells the story of one of the designer's first shops, which she opened in the French seaside resort town of Deauville in 1913. In the film, which will be screened at Chanel's Resort 2014 presentation in Singapore this month, Chanel is helped along by her aunt Adrienne — played by actress Clotilde Hemse — as she caters to wealthy clients like Jacqueline Forzane (played by Ashleigh Good) and Ida Rubinstein (portrayed by Caroline de Maigret). When Vita Sackville-West — played by Saskia de Brauw — looks through the windows of the store toward the end of the film, she asks, "I wonder what it will be in 100 years from now?"
