Ever since I was a wee one, I've been fascinated with color, to the point where I would study fabric swatches for hours, while my aunts shopped for patterns, notions, and the like.
Ever since I was a wee one, I've been fascinated with color, to the point where I would study fabric swatches for hours, while my aunts shopped for patterns, notions, and the like. So much of the cosmetics industry is influenced by fashion, so each season, beauty brands look to fashion forecasts, like Pantone, the big guns in the world of color swatches. From trendy nail polish shades (more on that later) to lipstick colors to eye shadow palettes, there's no doubt that we'll see some influence from the runway. In its annual Fashion Color Report, Leatrice Eiseman of the Pantone Color Institute said, "The Fall 2009 palette is more unique and thoughtful than the typical Autumnal hues of years past."
