From natural, fresh-faced makeup looks, to braided hair and bold lips — there's no beauty look our favourite celebrities won't try. Julianne Moore and Constance Jablonski opted for bare faces, and we think they've never looked prettier! Olivia Palermo was all about the braided hair and our cover girl Poppy Delevingne reminded us of just how sexy a red lip (and not much else) can be. There's much more to see — including two stars with fresh fringes — so click through and have a squiz!
Top 10 Best Dressed Of The Week: Emma Watson, Elizabeth Olsen, Kate Hudson & More!
Take a flick through our Top 10 gallery this week and you see a pretty obvious colour palette at play. Whether celebrities were on the red carpet or at parties, black was the colour du jour — with a bit of camel and white thrown in to really give off that classic vibe. Emma Watson was one celeb who mixed things up, and her Maxime Simoens dress was a total standout on the MTV Movie Awards red carpet, along with Zoe Saldana's. Kate Hudson kept things fresh and feminine with her seafoam Reem Acra gown, while Karolina Kurkova opted for a more masculine look — which we loved. And Elizabeth Olsen? That girl just oozes effortless cool. Click through to see what — and who! — our best-dressed stars are wearing this week.
The Olsen Girls Make a Case for the Camel Coat
Camel coats never really went out of fashion, yet just yesterday the Olsen sisters (the non-twin type) Ashley and Elizabeth were both snapped out and about in NYC sporting the classic cover-up. We had forgotten how chic this wardrobe essential is, so are mighty grateful to the stylish clan for putting it back on our radar. Let's take a quick refresher course in finding the perfect camel coat, shall we?
- Choose your length: Short or long, a camel coat will still look good — as Ashley and Elizabeth well prove — but how you wear it should differ. Longer overcoat styles look best with clean, monochrome ensembles (to reduce bulk) where as shorter, blazer styles will work with tiered tops, flirty print dresses and shorter under layers.
- Aim for classic details: The genius thing about this topper is that it will literally go with anything, so don't limit your options by choosing coloured trims, loud buttons or contrasting collars. Simple tortoiseshell, gold or black buttons are perfect. Less really is more.
- Be prepared to invest: When buying classic wardrobe items, like a coat, you should consider paying a little bit more in order to get the best fabric possible. Look at the label. Natural fibres like wool, cashmere or angora mixes will stand the test of time better than an acrylic or poly-blend.
Chrissy Joins Up With John at City Harvest Bash and Swears Off Alcohol
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend brought their good looks to City Harvest's annual Practical Magic fundraising event in NYC last night. The bash drew stars from both film and the world of food, including Richard Gere and a Chloe-clad Elizabeth Olsen — whom Chrissy and John mingled with inside the event — and Top Chef star Tom Colicchio and Eric Ripert, who is the chair of City Harvest's Food Council. It isn't clear if Chrissy partook in any libations during the fete, but she did reveal after the charity shindig that she is swearing off alcohol for the time being. She tweeted today, "I feel like if I say this publicly, the chances of succeeding will rise. I am going sober. First for a month, then taking it from there. Alcohol is just not as fun and relaxing as it used to be. Want to feel truly good again!"
The Week in Pictures: Miranda & Flynn, Nicole Richie, The Logies, Charlize Theron & More!
We had plenty keeping us busy here in Australia, what with the Logies (well done, Asher!) and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia happening within 24 hours of each other, but there was lots going on overseas this week as well! Halle Berry displayed her teensy baby bump when she attended a film premiere in Buenos Aires, while Aussie beauty Miranda Kerr held the hand of her bub Flynn on a walk in Beverly Hills. Nicole Richie and Jessica Alba flaunted their fabulous figures while on a girls' trip to St. Barts, and Charlize Theron and Seth MacFarlane set tongues wagging when they left a restaurant together. That's not even the half of it! Click through to see what else your favourite stars got up to this week.
Top Ten Best Dressed of the Week: Gwyneth, Elizabeth, Stacy & More!
Gwyneth Paltrow's been getting around town a lot lately, and as usual, we've been impressed by her style choices — but this purple Victoria Beckham ensemble pretty much blew all the competition out of the water. Pairing the bold purple with an even bolder Michael Kors heel, it's a brighter look than usual for Gwyneth, who tends to opt for neutrals — and we think it's ace. Competing with her in the style stakes? Elizabeth Olsen, edging up her look with a cool, sexy mix of leather, lace and fail-safe black, Keri Russell in one of the best leather dresses we've ever seen, style icon Jenna Lyons in a pastel dream of an outfit and Stacy Keibler displaying her fine form in a white eyelet-detailed Rebecca Minkoff number. Who else made the top 10? Come see!
The Week in Pictures: Ben and Jen, Miranda, Kristen, Rosie & More!
With the craziness of awards season dying down, most celebrities have been taking time to relax. After a massive few months, Ben Affleck and his wife Jennifer Garner looked relaxed and happy as they stepped out for a romantic dinner in Santa Monica, while Naomi Watts took in the Louis Vuitton show at Paris Fashion Week (alongside another stylish actress). Miranda Kerr switched up her time, one day taking son Flynn to a playground with Orlando Bloom's mum, the other day filming a Japanese TV commercial in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley saved a cute dog from rough seas and Kristen Stewart had a night out with a Twilight co-star. See? It was all fun and games this week! Stylish Stars Watch Kate Moss Return to the Runway at Louis Vuitton
Kate Moss donned a wig and walked the runway at the Louis Vuitton Fall 2013 fashion show in Paris last night. Fashionable celebrities Naomi Watts, Elizabeth Olsen and Jessica Chastain sat front row at the show to watch Kate make her return to her old stomping ground. Kate's husband, Jamie Hince, and daughter, Lila Grace, also made the trip over the Channel to watch the model mum work her stuff. The Louis Vuitton show wasn't the only big fashion news Kate was working on — Kate was named "fashion royalty" by The Sunday Times yesterday, the same day that she attended Carine Roitfeld's CR Fashion Book Issue 2 launch in the City of Light.
Kate's see-through Louis Vuitton dress was surprisingly less revealing than her recent nude photo shoot with Rihanna for V Magazine, which featured the singer and the model in alternating topless poses.
It's a Wrap — See All the Celebrities at New York Fashion Week
Plenty of celebrities flocked to the fashionable fun of this year's New York Fashion Week. Miley Cyrus showed off her abs in a crop top at the Marc Jacobs show, while Olivia Wilde and Jessica Chastain sat front row to take in the Calvin Klein collection. Elizabeth Olsen and Liv Tyler linked up at Proenza Schouler, and Zoe Saldana took a seat next to Jada Pinkett Smith and Willow Smith for Michael Kors. Click through for more famous fashionable faces!
Beauty in Britain: The Elle Style Awards
We spied a few new beauty looks at the Elle UK Style Awards today, an event hosted by the magazine following the BAFTAs. Elizabeth Olsen's hair was looking particularly long and glossy, while cutie Chloë Moretz went for a '60s up 'do and cool multicoloured pastel nails.
