Blake Lively made a fashionable appearance at the H&M New Orleans Flagship Store Opening party in Louisiana over the weekend. Blake is spending time in the South while her husband, Ryan Reynolds, is on location in New Orleans filming his latest project, Selfless. Also at the event was Emma Roberts, who's likely in Louisiana shooting American Horror Story. Both actresses attended the event with the local chapter of The Sunshine Kids, a non-profit organisation that provides programs and activities to children with cancer. During the visit, Blake and Emma showed off gorgeous beauty looks while posing for pictures with kids, all smiles while chatting with a group of young girls.
It's the latest in a string of charitable outings for Blake. Last week, she joined her husband, Ryan Reynolds, at a benefit for Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's disease foundation in NYC. The couple's special night out came after Blake's trip to Washington DC, where the actress spoke to high-school students about th film industry. Joining First Lady Michelle Obama, Whoopi Goldberg, and fellow actress Naomie Harris onstage, she answered students' questions about Hollywood and film.
There was no limit to the shenanigans our favourite stars got up to this week. Lara Bingle tried her hand at being an aeroplane pilot — while they were safely on the ground, of course — as she made her way over the Europe, Jennifer Hawkins have a special squeeze to her older sister and Miranda Kerr took time to post with hundreds of her fans in Tokyo. In Sydney, Big Brother winner Tim Dormer hung out with his ex-housemate Drew, while overseas, Aussie The Originals actresses Phoebe Tonkin and Claire Holt got all dressed up for a night on the town. And Renee Bargh? She's just hanging out with the likes of Delta Goodrem (her best friend), Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, if you don't mind. Just because the Emmy Awards are over doesn't mean the fun has ended! The stars from TV's biggest night kept the good times rolling at the various after parties following the big award show. Sofia Vergara and her Modern Family castrates proved to be the biggest party animals as they hopped between Fox's official bash, HBO's post-show fete, and the Governors Ball. Meanwhile, Claire Danes floated around the Governors Ball and HBO's party to meet up with friend Lena Dunham and show off her new Emmy award. But the biggest revellers of the night had to have been the Breaking Bad cast, who celebrated their outstanding drama series win with kisses, hugs and lots of dancing. Click through to see those stars and many, many more at the best Emmys after parties.
One of James Franco's many talents is writing, and one of his books is now the basis for a movie — starring him, of course. In the trailer for Palo Alto (based on his short story collection of the same name), Franco plays Mr. B, a high school soccer coach who takes his mentorship of player and student April (Emma Roberts) a little too far. April's not the only one having a rough time at school; her classmates Teddy (Jack Kilmer, son of Val, who's also in the movie) and Fred (Nat Wolff) are going through their own struggles and rebellions.
Even though Franco didn't direct Palo Alto (that'd be Gia Coppola), I'm very much looking forward to what Franco delivers here, both as the provider of the source material and on screen. His role is more than a little creepy — but so was his role in Spring Breakers, and it turned out to be completely entertaining. We'll see if the same is true in Palo Alto, which will hit the Toronto International Film Festival, but doesn't yet have an official release date. Either way, you can catch the trailer right now after the jump.
By now you've probably heard about Jennifer Aniston's striptease in We're the Millers, but is the rest of the movie as hot as Jen's bikini body? Watch our video movie review to find out if the new comedy, which also stars Jason Sudeikis and Emma Roberts and hits Aussie cinemas next week, is worth checking out.
Jennifer Aniston was back in action, promoting her new film, We're the Millers, during a press day at NYC's Crosby Street Hotel on Saturday. Jennifer, who donned a tight black leather skirt, was joined by her co-stars Emma Roberts and Jason Sudeikis to chat up the film, which is released in Australia on Aug. 15. Following her press duties, Jen did an outfit change into a more casual get-up of a denim jacket and maxi dress to greet fans with a wave as she departed the hotel. Before gearing up for Saturday's appearance, Jen's best friend and hairstylist, Chris McMillan, shared a revealing snap of him and a makeup-free Jen on his Instagram with a caption that read, "Best friends. No makeup. Girl time."
Jen was back with her co-stars Emma and Jason after hitting the red carpet to debut We're the Millers in NYC last Thursday. Along with the premiere and weekend press conference, Jen has been hard at work promoting her latest movie, making stops on Chelsea Lately and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last week as well. Her Big Apple press duties conveniently coincide with her work on another new project since she is currently on location, filming Squirrels to the Nuts in NYC.
