Lea Michele celebrates her 26th birthday today! Over the past few years Lea has made the transition from being a Broadway star (she was part of the original Spring Awakening cast) to TV favourite in Glee, and she’s even starting to conquer the big screen. She’s also happily dating her long-time Glee co-star Cory Monteith, and the two have become more open about their relationship at public events. Lea is a red carpet pro and we’ve noticed that she often gives love back to fans (and photographers) with a signature kiss pose. Click through to see Lea in action — we hope she has a great day!

School will be back in session for (some of) the Glee kids on Sept. 13 in the US, but season four is shaping up to be quite different from what we've grown to expect from the New Directions — and now we have photos to prove it. For starters, there's a bunch of new characters, and I'm not just talking about Kate Hudson. In addition to Puck's little bro, there's also a new cheerleader in the mix and a potential replacement for Rachel (gasp!). The 2012 Do Something Awards brought out a slew of hotly-hued red carpet looks in Santa Monica today, reminding us that Spring is most definitely on its way. Kristen Bell worked a multi-coloured Jenny Kane Resort '13 sheath, Olivia Munn and Maria Menounos both opted for poke-your-eye fuchsia pink minis, Sophia Bush stood out in a tangerine floor-length number and Aubrey Plaza kept cool in cobalt. There was respite from the technicolour display however, with Lea Michele (in Armani), Giuliana Rancic, Nikki Reed and Ashley Greene all going for more subdued neutral hues. Hands up who can't believe we're approaching the end of August? It seems like this year is just flying by, and everyone is busy, busy, busy! As we inch towards Spring, we've been treated to a week full of visual delights, courtesy of both the Myer and David Jones Spring/Summer 2013 Collections. With a slew of Aussie models and identities making appearances, we were spoilt for choice when it came to scoping pretty pics of them all. Internationally, Rob Pattinson, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel were all looking great on their respective movie campaign trails, and of course, we were all coming down from the spectacular high of the London Olympics. Phew, what a week! It's time to relax, and relive the the week that was — get clicking, friends!

Dean Geyer and Lea Michele were spotted in NYC over the weekend filming their first scenes together for the fourth season of Glee. Dean, who reached national heart-throb status after being discovered on Australian Idol and landing a role on Neighbours, has been cast as Brody Weston, a senior student at the New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts (NYADA), which Lea’s character Rachel Berry is attending — love interest alert! The stars were seen singing and dancing down a street, and taking iPhone snaps of themselves. Dean couldn’t contain his excitement on social media and tweeted, “NYC is amazing!! And filming my first musical number for glee with @msleamichele.. Rock and roll baby. Or I guess more like POP and roll.”

Kate Hudson posed with Lea Michele on the set of Glee today. The show's creator, Ryan Murphy, tweeted a photo of the two, saying "Ms. Lea Michele and Kate Hudson on the NYADA set. Kate had chandelier approval."

Kate is guest starring in six episodes during Glee's fourth season. She'll be playing Cassandra July, Rachel's dance teacher at her new performing arts school. Lea Michele gave us a glimpse of her new co-star's arrival late last week. She shared a photo of her and Kate's chairs next to each other on the set, tweeting that it was "the coolest thing." Another A-list star to join the cast this season is Sarah Jessica Parker. She'll be playing a Vogue editor, though there's no word yet on whether she'll sing or dance.
