Kids' Choice Awards Beauty: Ke$ha's Gold Tooth and Top-Hat Style

Some week's it's all about the lips, others it about the glittery take on eyeshadow, but this week, so much celebrity beauty came down to the hair. Many of our favourites were working bold hairstyles that we can't wait to copy — from Miranda's va-va-voom voluptuous curls, to Blake Lively's slinky waves and Ke$ha's cool braid. It wasn't just about the hair, though — Amanda Seyfried's amazing eyeliner has to be seen to be believed and we're basically head over heels for Megan Fox's so-vampy-it-hurts look. It's all here and more, so click through to check it all out!
Ke$ha has seriously been stepping up her glam game lately, but she still manages to keep one foot in her rocker roots. How does she do this so well? By mixing and matching her makeup. Her frosted pink lipstick is the perfect mix of girlie and punk, mainly because of its unique colour. More punk than prissy, this bright soft pink is finished off with a frosted sheen, giving it just the right amount of bad-girl vibe while still being accessible. Mac Cosmetics Sheen Sumpreme Lipglass in Almond Blossom ($20) swooped over your lightest pink colour will deliver an on-point sheen.
The songstress keeps her tough-girl image in tact, though. By pairing such a poppy shade with her signature smoky black metallic eye, the girlish and rocker looks mesh and balance without being overpowering. Add a faux undercut style, with the help of two tight braids, and Ke$ha's party-perfect look is complete. No smeared makeup required.
Justin Bieber, Alicia Keys and Ke$ha showed their holiday spirit at KIIS-FM's Jingle Ball in LA last night. The Nokia Theatre housed the annual event, with a star-studded performance lineup that featured Justin, Flo Rida, The Wanted and Psy. We caught up with Flo Rida as he headed inside, and he revealed he planned to pump himself up to take the mic by doing a few push-ups. After walking the red carpet, Alicia Keys made a surprise appearance on stage.
Justin belted out his hit single "All Around the World," then flashed his abs for fans during "Baby." Before his revealing performance, Justin was reportedly holding hands with Selena Gomez. Between his on-again girlfriend's company and a strong performance, Justin later tweeted about the Jingle Ball's being a "great show."
The AMAs took over LA's Nokia Theatre tonight, with the biggest names in music stepping out for the celebration. Many of the stars shared some of their behind-the-scenes fun, too. Pink posted a photo of her outfit, while Heidi Klum snapped a photo from backstage. Stylist Brad Goreski posed alongside Stacy Keibler, and Carly Rae Jepsen had some last-minute help before hitting the red carpet. Click through to see all the candid photos from your favourite stars!
The American Music Awards are going down in LA this evening. Usher opened a show that went on to feature many performances from some of the biggest stars in the music industry. Gwen Stefani and the guys of No Doubt put on a show, as did Kelly Clarkson and Ke$ha. Taylor Swift performed her soon-to-be-released single "I Knew You Were Trouble." She changed out of the gold Zuhair Murad number she wore on the red carpet and into her second dress of the evening. Justin Bieber hit the stage too for a rendition of his songs "As Long As You Love Me" and "Beauty and a Beat." Pink put on an acrobatic, energetic performance, and Christina Aguilera wore a tiny costume to sing a song of her own.
As for the awards, Taylor and Justin were big winners. After arriving with his mum, Pattie Mallette, as his date, Justin picked up an early honour for best pop or rock male artist. He was also recognised with favourite pop/rock album. Taylor, meanwhile, was crowned favourite female country artist. Further honours went to best new artist, Carly Rae Jepsen, and favourite country band, Lady Antebellum. The show's still underway in LA, so check back soon for more updates!
With nominees ranging from Justin Bieber to Gotye, the 2012 American Music Awards were always going to be a spectacular mix of rock stars, pop musicians and country crooners, and the red carpet arrivals so far haven't disappointed in the glamour stakes. New Artist of the Year nominee Carly Rae Jepsen sparkled in floor-length Gomez Garcia, while Ke$ha followed the pretty in pink theme in a mini lace confection. Taylor Swift stuck to her golden girl style in Zuhair Murad, and Pink mixed textures in a leather-bodiced bronze gown. Catch up on your favourite stars' arrivals in our gallery, and don't forget to check FabSugar and BellaSugar for a closer look at the AMAs style.
Is that you, Ke$ha? The singer strutted the red carpet of the American Music Awards looking strikingly different. With her cascading blonde curls and pretty pink makeup palette to match her pink dress, Ke$ha appeared as though she just stepped out of an Old Hollywood movie. Even her signature inky black liner was toned-down and pretty; it swung out into a wing and was complemented with spindly lower lashes. This is a completely different look for the "Tik Tok" singer, but what do you think of her transformation?
