So you know by know that I think Ms. Jones is totes awesome but I wasn't as wowed with her 2010 look as I thought I would be. It was all about the thick black satin headband, which January teamed with a raspberry lip and falsies, falsies, falsies galore. Thoughts on the look? Raspberry vs. coral?
Carey Mulligan looks simple and sweet at tonight's Globes. Nominated for her role in An Education, Carey seems to be schooled in how to make looking beautiful appear effortless because she's rocking a cropped hairstyle with ease. The bejewelled headband is a nice way to jazz up what is otherwise just the same haircut that you wear every day and barely-there pink cheeks and lips and super subtle eye makeup finish the look nicely. Does Carey get your vote or do you wish she would've stepped it up a bit?
Sandra wore her hair down and opted for a purple smoky eye at the Critics' Choice Awards, but tonight she went for a tousled bun with a few loose tendrils that framed her face. How do you feel about it? I'm thinking it's a little too undone for the red carpet and I always prefer her locks straight, but that could just be me!
Olivia Wilde was one of the first to hit the red carpet looking positively feline with her fierce cat-eye makeup. A little bit '60s glam, a little bit modern, what do you think?
Up in the Air's Anna Kendrick looked like she was on cloud nine tonight. She played it safe with soft, shimmering makeup: shell pink lipstick, just a dab of gloss, white shadow and false lashes, and complemented the look with a classic loose bun, complete with romantic curls. What do you think?
Heather had a big 2009 with her hit film The Hangover, which is nominated for Best Musical or Comedy (it's a bit of both, right?). Though she isn't up for an award, I think her look is a winner. Super slick-backed hair and flawless-porcelain skin shine the brightest, after all. What do you think? Too cool or too plain Jane?
Seriously, Courteney is looking smokin' in those ads for Cougar Town and for tonight's Globes, it's the same story. She set off her beautiful dark hair and bright blue eyes with dark charcoal eye liner and pale lip. It was nothing crazy-different, but it got the job done and the look definitely wasn't out of place on the red carpet. What do you think?
Anna Paquin clearly has no qualms about matching her hair, skin and clothing to her awards show, because she was every inch the golden girl tonight. Even her blush and gloss had gold nuances to them and the overall look was positively luminous. I think her look came together really well, but what about you? Is there such a thing as too much gold? (Pop says no.)
Being red hot seems to be Christina Hendricks' M.O.—and she does a pretty good job at it, wouldn't you say? She proves that redheads can look amazing in red lipstick, that and, light shimmery sage eyeshadow is the go against flawless, milky skin. Are you a fan of the Mad Men star and this look?
There were no signs of a makeup mishap in sight tonight (though some are saying it seems she has a touch of sunburn to the right-hand side of her face) but I think she looks gorgeous. I'm such a fan of a low side chignon and the rose lip gloss perfectly complements her skin tone. What do you think?
