The boys of One Direction sent the teenage girls of London into a frenzy when they hosted a premiere for their new film, One Direction: This Is Us, in the English capital overnight. A large group of fans camped out in front of the cinema for days to catch a glimpse of the young heartthrobs during the red carpet event. One take-charge young lady even wore a wedding dress to the event, while most other starstruck souls were content with holding up handmade signs, which ranged from encouraging to cheeky — one example: "Boxers or Briefs?" Meanwhile, the young men had some star support on the carpet, including an appearance by The Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood, who has long been a supporter of the group, and Simon Cowell, who signed the boys for a record deal after they won third place on The X Factor UK in 2010.
The guys from One Direction have a packed schedule ahead of them for this week, as they will be travelling to NYC soon to attend the MTV VMAs in Brooklyn on Sunday (Monday AEST) and pick up American press duties for their flick, which hits cinemas in Australia on Sept. 19 — Event Cinemas CineBuzz members can see it first on Aug. 31 in line with the rest of the world.
