Fashion Flashback: Totally Rad Trends From the '80s and '90s

Between listening to new wave and boy bands and staring at our posters of Rob Lowe, Leonardo DiCaprio, and JTT, we somehow managed to style ourselves up in acid-washed jeans, bike shorts, slap bands, and other semi-horrific pieces way back when.

Between listening to new wave and boy bands and staring at our posters of Rob Lowe, Leonardo DiCaprio, and JTT, we somehow managed to style ourselves up in acid-washed jeans, bike shorts, slap bands, and other semi-horrific pieces way back when. Even though we shudder to think of some of the things we wore, many of those styles have come back with a vengeance (neon remains a huge runway trend, Keds are still everywhere, and friendship bands are suddenly so-cool again). We've rounded up the biggest and best trends to come out of the '80s and '90s — click through to take a stroll down memory lane!

Famous for her ice-blonde strands bleached-out brows, Lara Stone shows off her blonde brunette ambition in the April issue of Vogue Turkey. Shot by Cynet Akeroglu, the Dutch beauty sports a dark, cropped wig with a full-volume fringe, black-rimmed eyes, statement blush and glossy red lips. It's totally '80s power woman and we love it. See the spread up close now.

Cara Delevingne Gets an '80s Makeover in S Moda Magazine

In a fitting tribute to the '80s, Burberry beauty Cara Delevingne switches up her signature style for the second time in recent weeks to star alongside legendary rocker Bryan Ferry in S Moda magazine. Sporting big-bodied curls courtesy of stylist Ernesto Montenovo, makeup artist Sarah Reygate went for a golden yellow and aquamarine eye, topped off with an '80s power pout. Is it just us or is the look a tad reminiscent of Jerry Hall, a former flame of Ferry's?

Flashback to Flashdance: Katy Perry Parties Like It's 1989!

While most of us are busily hiding evidence of what we looked like the '80s, Katy Perry is happily revisiting the decade known for its love affair with blue mascara for her latest cover artwork for the single “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” the fifth track to come off of her Teenage Dream album.

Teaming her neon triangle earrings with some full-on blue shadow and standard '80s issue fronted pink lipstick, Katy even shows off some braces on her teeth. What do you think of her latest look? We're not sure what the team at ghd would think of their newly-signed ambassador's frizzy curls! To hear the song, head over to PopSugar and tell us your thoughts!

Liv Tyler Parties Like It's 1989 on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon!

Givenchy girl Liv Tyler got into the '80s spirit this week on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.

Givenchy girl Liv Tyler got into the '80s spirit this week on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Scraping her strands atop her head into a side, high pony (finished with a gold lamé scrunchie) and donning matching coral pink lipstick and nails, Liv looked like she was having the time of her life singing "All Through the Night" alongside Fallon for the "Star Search" skit. Hilar! Her look isn't too dissimilar from the Henry Holland Spring 2010 look either, but have they done enough for you to whip out the scrunchie again? What do you think of the rest of Liv's look?

Gisele Gets Permed, Polished and Purple For Numéro Tokyo!

She embodied the jet-set glamour of the '70s for Vogue Turkey last month and now Gisele has the 1980s in her sights in this shoot for Numéro Tokyo #46.

She embodied the jet-set glamour of the '70s for Vogue Turkey last month and now Gisele has the 1980s in her sights in this shoot for Numéro Tokyo #46. Sporting a high-volume perm and ombré effect purple eyeshadow, teamed with an opaque pink lip, it's a far cry from the beachy bombshell that we're used to seeing from the Brazilian beauty off-duty. But one that Gisele rocks with her usual charm.

We're side-stepping the perm (with Winter on its way and the rain a-falling down, we don't need to pay for frizzy curls thanqverymuch) but embracing the purple eyeshadow which is still BIG news in beauty right about now. We know this because everyone and they aunt has decided to launch some form of mauve, violet or lilac shadow and we say yay! It's the one colour that everyone can wear so make like Gisele and try one of these for size: Estée Lauder Limited Edition Five Color EyeShadow Palette in Wild Violet ($85), Australis Paparazzi Perfect High Definition Eyeshadow in Totally Busted ($15.95), Revlon CustomEyes Palette in Party Pops ($25.95) or Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Dab ($44). What do you think of the cover? Will you wear purple?

Ooh, Lara Channels Marilyn; Wears Blue; Looks HAWT

When I think Lara Stone, I think three things: Dutch hottie, no eyebrows, glare.
Lara Stone Wears Blue Eyeshadow and Peroxide Blonde Hair For W

When I think Lara Stone, I think three things: Dutch hottie, no eyebrows, glare. I do not think of sky blue eyeshadow and Marilyn Monroe bombshell-o-rama. Which is why I LOVE her "Color Me Beautiful" spread in the September issue of W. It's so fresh. Gone is her signature feline stare from the Versace Versus and Prada ads. In its place, a flirty, semi-smiling Stone. Gorge. I love, love, love the under-eye wash of aqua and the peachy pout. But I have to say the peroxide blonde Marilyn Monroe-esque hair is probably the pièce de résistance for me. Such a departure from those wet-look cK ads. Whaddya reck? Do you like seeing this lighter, playful side to Lara or should she stick to what she does best: kick-ass glares? It's decision time, peeps.
