Much has been made of Sam "I'm just a brickie from Perth" Worthington chewing gum while presenting next to Jennifer Lopez but he's got more to worry about than getting slammed by the press. Cosmetic surgeons are now saying that chewing gum is the latest thing to cause wrinkles. US-based cosmetic surgeon Dr. Hema Sundaram believes that “chewing gum promotes muscle over-activity and potentially breaks down support tissue within the skin, contributing to volume loss and perhaps loss of skin elasticity.” Maybe that's Sam's Grand Master Plan, though? Wrinkles + Payless shoes = totally unpretentious guy, no?

When my birthday swings around next month I shall not be asking for money, jewels or designer fragrance. I'll solely be requesting that I am magically transformed into Diane Kruger. Every friggin' time the girl gets it right. It'd bore me if it didn't amaze me so. Unlike our other starlets, I would take (and will be taking) all three of these styles and making them my own. Pronto. From the glamorous vintage roll to her unique take on up styles, Diane just keeps on giving and giving. And I know you might be feeling all Oscar-ed out, but before we put the Oscars to bed for another year, let us try to pick a favourite of these three lustrous looks . . .

Kate Winslet's being quite the darling of 2010 Awards season so far, turning up to all four of the major events (L-R: the Globes, the SAGs, the BAFTAs and the Oscars). And while I loved her BAFTAs curls, there is simply no getting away from how awesome she looked at yesterday's Oscars. She could've actually passed for an Old Hollywood screen siren, don't you think? Absolute stunning. Is it your best look? Or not?

Three different awards ceremonies (L-R: the Globes, the SAGs, the Oscars), three different looks. While I could take or leave Sandy's SAGs 'do (and dress), I fell head over heels for her Golden Globes curly up-and-to-the-style style and could not get over how shiny her strands were at yesterday's Oscars ceremony. Which is your favourite look?

The first half of 2010 Awards season is over so 'tis the perfect time to take a look back and see which star got it right at which awards ceremony. With me? First in line is Kristen Stewart. Being the publicity-shy lady that she is, the young actress chose to skip the SAGs and the Globes, but she did grace us with her presence for the BAFTAs (left) and the Oscars (right). I know my favourite look, but which is yours?
Before she stepped out for the Vanity Fair Oscars Afterparty, Nexxus Creative Director, Kevin Mancuso, gave Nat this pretty up 'do with face-framing curl.
While Natalie's hair was wet, Mancuso worked a volumising spray gel from roots to ends. He then blew her hair dry with a paddle brush, lifting at the roots. While her hair was still warm, he transferred one-inch sections onto Velcro rollers. He let the rollers cool completely, then took them out and tousled her hair with a bit of smoothing lotion.
Next, Mancuso took out a one-inch front section of hair, pulled the rest back into a ponytail, and used bobby pins to create a soft chignon. To polish the look, he used a flat iron to smooth the front curl and help position hair around Natalie's face. Finally, he set the style with a light misting of hairspray.
The Vanity Fair afterparty is known for being the hot ticket in town post-ceremony so no wonder many-a-celeb chose to head straight there.
Stars including Natalie Portman, Abbie Cornish and Katy Perry wowed us with their gowns and gorgeous hair and makeup styles.
Celebrity hairstylist Oribe is known for coiffing the tresses of stars like Jennifer Lopez, Cindy Crawford, and Beverly Johnson. At the Oscars, he created a simply chic updo for another A-list star: Penelope Cruz. Of her asymmetric Donna Karan gown, Oribe said, "The dress was a lot of dress, so therefore we just went with not doing too much hair."
STEP 1: First, blow-dry your hair. "For this particular type of style, you don't have to worry about getting your hair perfectly straight," Oribe says. "Just get it dry."
STEP 2: Use a large barrel curling iron to curl hair, then brush it well.

Considering her string of style successes, it's no surprise that Diane Kruger was pure elegance on the Oscars red carpet. For her hairstyle, Pantene celebrity stylist Danilo created a contemporary chignon with a twist. The textured updo complemented the actress's Chanel gown, and it's easier to do than you might think. All you need is a little bit of braiding skill and you're halfway there.
STEP 1: Spray a root-lifting spray gel onto damp hair and blow-dry the hair upside down to help create volume and a base.
STEP 2: Section hair into a side part and divide into three sections (one on each side and one in the back). Tightly braid each side section upward and away from the face.

Joining Lea Michele, Heidi Klum, Victoria Beckham, Hayden Panettiere and Kelly Osbourne were a whole host of other stars who kicked up their heels to celebrate the 82nd Academy Awards.
And just because they didn't walk the red carpet, don't for one second go thinking that they didn't primp and preen themselves for the occasion . . .
