As we were celebrating the 2010 ARIAs in Sydney, the musos from America and Europe gathered in España for the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards. Russell Brand accompanied his wifey, Katy Perry, who was rocking an unusual half up, half down hairstyle. Eva Longoria Parker played host and switched up her hairstyles so many times, we almost lost count! Taylor Momsen and Ke$ha rocked their signature styles, RiRi rocked a mad beehive, Snooki chose the same eyeshadow shade as Ruby Rose, Jared Leto and Jon Bon were there, as was Miley Cyrus battling it out with Little J for longest hair extensions. It was ALL happening! Just check it out now! Who do you think looked best?
2010 MTV Europe Music Awards: Taylor Momsen

When it comes to the red carpet, celebs do one of two things: try something totally new and different (to mixed response) or stick with their signature style (to mixed response). Taylor Momsen does the latter. Save for some red eyeshadow, I've never seen Little J wear anything other than black shadow that covers her entire socket, blood red lipstick and the LONGEST hair extensions in the world. Last night's award ceremony was no different, though she did add a little bronze shadow into the mix to lighten things up. Despite the length, her hair did look in good condition and hair streaks were spotted on the runway at Cynthia Rowley so Taylz's ones could be considered fashion-forward, no? Do you like Tay-Tay's EMAs look?

2010 MTV Europe Music Awards: Ke$ha

You can always rely on Ke$ha to bring her own kind of glam rock to the party. And it usually involves glitter. No change for last night's MTV EMAs where the "Tik Tok" singer took bedhead and backcombing to the extreme — if you want to recreate a similar style but your hair's too squeaky clean, dry shampoo is your friend. It'll help give the matte, "unkempt" texture that you want, as well as adding volume. Ke$ha wore a black kohl and gold glitter combo around the eyes and finished with red lipstick. It might not be your every day style, but what do you think?

2010 MTV Europe Music Awards: Miley Cyrus

We know that Miley Cyrus hearts her hair extensions — she lasted all of about 27 seconds without them earlier this year; OK about 10 days — and that she's willing to spend the big bucks on them, so it was sad to see them looking a little on the straggly side last night. Because normally they're in such great condition. Hmmm. Maybe it's time to get a lob again, Miles? The hot young thing pulled it back with her makeup though, going super-simple for last night's awards proving that a little smoky eye and pink gloss are really all a girl needs. Like?

2010 MTV Europe Music Awards: Eva Longoria Parker

The host of last night's MTV Europe Music Awards upped the glamour ante sporting some seriously luminous skin (and pins!). The Desperate Housewives actress' makeup palette centred around soft caramel tones with a shimmering sandy eye, lined with kohl and topped with some spidery false lashes. A wash of illuminiser on the cheeks gave Eva a fresh-faced feel and the makeup look was finished with some nude caramel gloss. Her red carpet hair — styled by BFF Ken Paves — was a textured up 'do that looked to be a cross between a chignon and French roll, though a lot less structured and polished. I like the height in the front, and it's always nice to see Eva with her hair up, it shows off that gorgeous face of hers. Thoughts?

2010 MTV Europe Music Awards: Kelly Brook

Hmmm, I'm not sure about this one, peeps. Normally Kelly Brook automatically finds herself on my list of People Not to Stand Next to Should You Ever Meet in Real Life. Because she always looks so perfect. Bad for self-esteem. But I'm not overly wowed by her MTV EMAs style and I think it comes down to her lashes. Just like Erin McNaught, the Brit babe is drop dead gorgeous naturally, but she's overdone the lash line and ended up with something resembling Amy Winehouse's liner. Which is fine if that's what floats your boat, but it just doesn't tie in with the rest of Kelly's lady like look. If she'd have lined the top and bottom lashes with gold and eased up on the lashes it could've scored a perfect 10. What do you think of Kelly's look?

2010 MTV Europe Music Awards: Rihanna

I'm jealous of Rihanna's ability to pull off peach sparkly eyeshadow. It's one of those shades I'd look at, love and KNOW that I'd never be able to wear it. Sigh. But on RiRi it looks gorgeous when teamed with a glossy baby pink lip. She is totes loving the stiletto nail trend, too. Look, she's worn the killer (literally) nail shape again, this time with burgundy polish. And she's topped it all off with a red beehive, complete with finger wave fringe. Only RiRi. Only RiRi. Like?

2010 MTV Europe Music Awards: Katy Perry

Married life is obviously agreeing with Katy Perry as she was polished to perfection at last night's MTV Europe Music Awards. I know, the ARIAs, the EMAs . . . BIG night for musos, right? Her hair's a hybrid of the Marchesa Spring '11 top knot and a ponytail. Huh. Interesting. I like both styles, but separately, not really together. Her skin looks flawless. Absolutely flawless. And there's just a gentle wash of colour across the cheeks. As for the eyes, the top lid is covered in brown shadow — a little hard to see with Kitty Kat's mega lash line — but it's the sparkly shadow on the inner V and the under-eye gold that really stands out to me. It's the second time that we've seen gold-rimmed eyes recently — the first on Georgia May Jagger — and it's such a simple way to make eyes pop. LOVE. Katy's finished with a peach gloss over a toffee lipstick, red foil nails that match her frock and perhaps a spritz of Purr. Thoughts?
