2011 Spring New York Fashion Week

Spring 2011 is going to be all about two shades, lavender and honeysuckle. The former was an overwhelming favourite on the runways in New York and London, and the latter is Pantone's pick for Colour of the Year in 2011. What does this mean for you? Well, there's bound to be loads of both shades showing up at makeup counters, and that means finding new and pretty ways to wear the colours. I've gathered up some of the prettiest, freshest uses of lavender and honeysuckle from the runways, and now I'm passing them on to you. WOW. What. A. Week. From Spring statement lips to barrettes (or hair slides to you and me) being back, it's been a full-on injection of glitz and glamour this NYFW. While some designers (and one Gossip Girl star) were pushing white eyeshadow, others upped the ante with sunshine yellow. It's the final day of New York Fashion Week and it definitely closed with a bang, with today's runway featuring the work of Calvin Klein (hello Katie Holmes and Aussie Isabel Lucas), J. Mendel, Ralph Lauren, and the amazing Oscar De La Renta. To finish off your Fab Friday, have a stalk through New York's front row for one last time (sniff!).

And just like that, it's OVAH! New York Fashion Week has wrapped up for another year, leaving in its trail a heavy dose of '70s disco glam, crisp white, halter-necklines, candy brights and wide leg pants. Phew, what a doozy! The Spring collections have delivered some of the most wearable pieces we've seen in a long time, and we can't wait to see what London, Milan and Paris have in store for us next.
